Installation instruction
Step 1: Start by assembling the panels & the cargo platform (the front side panel with the hook road logo). Use the button head socket cap bolt screws (M6*16), flat washer (N6), and flange hex lock nuts (M6).
Step 2: To assemble the two leg brackets, mount those covers to the legs using the button head socket cap bolt screws (M6*16), flat washer (M6), and flange hex lock nuts (M6).
Step 3: With the legs assembled, mount them to the basket using the button head socket cap bolts screws (M820), split lock washer (D8), flat washer (M820), flange hex lock nuts (M8). The side with the logo patterns faces outward. Don’t tighten up those bolts.
Step 4: Next, loosely install the lower brackets into the hole and slot in the bottom of the legs. These brackets should bend in beneath the legs.
Step 5: Next, set the basket up onto your spare tyre to see how far in and far out the legs of the basket need to be positioned. And then, adjust the distance to sit tight to the tyre.
Step 6: To install the oil drum brackets (Need to distinguish to driver & passenger side). Use the button head socket cap bolt screws (M820), split lock washer (D8), flat washer (M820), flange hex lock nuts (M8). Repeat the installation on the other side.
Step 7: At last, use the grey ratchet straps to tighten up the baskets. Thread the rope of the cargo tightener through the spare tyre. Insert the end of the tightener’s rope into the tightening mechanism of the tightener. Use the handle or operating device to gradually tighten the rope, securing it appropriately. You can cut the Eva to protect the strip.
Step 8
The installation is complete. We hope you enjoy a wonderful off-road life with
this quality Hooke Road product! (we don’t provide the oil drum)
