Installation instruction:
Step 1: First, remove the original rear bumper, taking care to preserve the factory receiver hitch structure during the disassembly process.
Step 2: Next, insert the bottom connect plate into the central hole of the factory receiver hitch, using M8*20 button head socket cap bolts screws and washers for this step.
Step 3: Next, it is recommended to lift the bumper with the assistance of 2 to 3 people in preparation for installation on the vehicle. Before aligning with the side mounting holes, ensure that the bottom connect plate is properly embedded within the bumper body. Afterward, install the remaining three holes of the bottom connecting bracket using M8*20 screws, washers, and nuts.
Step 4: Next, to install the side mounting holes, a total of 6 holes. if you have the factory hitch receiver, you need to install the provided factory hitch receiver bracket into the three holes on the driver’s side. Use M12*35 screws, washers, and nuts for the installation.
Step 5: Next, install the reinforcement brackets on both sides, distinguishing between the passenger side and the driver’s side. The diagram below illustrates the passenger side. Use M12*35 screws, washers, and nuts for installation, with four holes not requiring the use of nuts.
Step 6: Next, install the T-shaped Indexing Pin on both carriers.
Step 7: Next, install the two tow carriers onto the already mounted rear bumper. Place the tapered roller bearing into the bearings first, then use a 34mm wrench to tighten the slotted hex castle nut into the bearings. Tighten the nuts, and finally, install the bearing cover using M6*12 flat head countersunk bolts.
Step 8: The carriers have been successfully installed.
Step 9: Next, install the collision prevention accessories on the carriers. Screw in the five round black rubber pads using M8*25 screws.
Step 10: Next, place two of the round black rubber pads into the cushioning brackets.
Step 11: Next, install one of the round black rubber pads into the driver side carrier using the M8 nuts.
Step 12: Next, place one round black rubber pad and one cushioning bracket into each of the two carriers. For installing round black rubber pad, only the M8 nut is required, while for installing cushioning bracket, both the M8161.5 washer and M8 nut are needed.
Step 13: Next, when installing cushioning bracket, open and close the carrier to test the effect. Adjust it to the appropriate position before tightening the screws. You can also refer to the positions shown in the diagram when tightening the screws.
Step 14: Next, install the adjustable latch u bolt self-lock toggle latch near the D-rings on both sides of the main bumper. Use M616 screws with M612*1 washers and nuts for installation.
