PRODUCT INFORMATION

The weight distribution hitch forms a stable triangle by connecting the hitch ball and the two contact points with L spring bars. It extends the force point of the hitch ball in the traditional design throughout the triangular structure, increasing the stability of the entire connection structure and achieving weight distribution.

INSTRUCTIONS

Product Overview

  1. Measure the data before installation and record it:
A: distance from the coupler of a leveled trailer to the ground.
B: distance from a bumper on the rear of a leveled vehicle to the ground.
C: distance from a bumper on the front of a leveled vehicle to the ground.

  2. Insert the adjustable shank (1) into the receiver tube and secure with the pin (14) and clip (15). The hitch head is loosely attached to the shank using hardware including hex bolt (19), gasket (16), spring washer (17), nylock nut (8).

  3. Install the hitch ball (7) onto the hitch head and secure with the blackwashed (9) and hex nut (8). Measure the distance D from the head of the ball to the ground. Adjust the mounting holes in the hitch head so that D is close to A. The adjustable shank has an adjustment range of 5 in. with hole to hole distance of 1.25 in.

  4. Install and adjust the top hitch head bolt (11) to secure the hitch head to the head channel. Do the same for the bottom hitch head bolt (11).

  5. Now you can back the vehicle to the coupler and lower the coupler onto the trailer ball until the trailer jack no longer supports any trailer weight and engages the hitch lock.

  1. Measure the distance from the rear and front bumpers to the ground again, mark B2 and C

  2. After greasing the L spring bars (3), insert them into the hitch head holes until you hear a click which means they are locked in place.
    Assembly Instruction

  3. Jack up the trailer until the rear bumper height to the ground is equal to B.

  4. Assemble the support bracket by clamping two narrow support brackets (4) to either side of the trailer frame, using the bolts (12) and nuts (13) to secure them. The wider support bracket (4) is mounted to the outer narrow support bracket.
    Assembly Instruction

  5. Insert the L support bracket (6) into the channel formed by the wide and narrow support brackets, then secure with bolts (12) and nuts (13). This support bracket is suitable for 4-6 inch trailer frame.
    Assembly Instruction

  6. Using the Lift handle (10), lift the spring bar onto the L support bracket. Use retainer clips (5) and clips (15) to secure the spring bars. Tension should be felt on the lift handle, if not, the mainframe may need to be adjusted to distribute more weight.
    Assembly Instruction

  7. The end of the spring bar to the point of contact between the spring bar and the L support bracket should be about 6 inches, to avoid falling out of the spring bar during operation, which would compromise safety and the effectiveness of the hitch. Repeat this installation on the opposite bracket.

Assembly Instruction

  1. Once all spring bars are secured, lower the jack so that it is no longer sup- porting any trailer weigh.

AFTERINSTALLATION

  1. Measure the data after installation and record it:
B3: distance from a bumper on the rear of a leveled vehicle to the ground.
C3: distance from a bumper on the front of a leveled vehicle to the ground.

  2. You can judge whether the hitch is installed correctly by the change of several measurements. If B2<B3<B is your record, congratulations, the hitch is correctly and effectively installed, if not, you need to adjust the installation details again.

NOTE

  1. Our hitch has added an oil injection valve design, which needs to be regularly injected with lubricating oil to maintain the lubrication of the L spring bar end, reduce friction and noise, and extend the service life.
    Assembly Instruction

  2. Installing this hitch can be a big challenge for novices. It is not uncommon for an installation to be imperfect at one time, don’ be afraid to make adjustments. If the product does not work properly, read the trailer manual, instruction manual, or other sources for information.

  3. Gross trailer weight (GTW):10,000 Ibs; Tongue weight (TW):1000 Ibs.. Never exceed the GTW and TW capacity recommended in the instruction manual when using.

  4. Consumers should pay attention to the rating of each component of the entire trailer system and should not exceed the minimum limit during operation. To avoid the entangled problem, the trailer safety chains are not permitted to be hooked up to the mounting system. Make sure the safety chains operate freely around the mounting system.
