Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning
Cleaning the knives
- Soak the knives in warm soapy water and use a sponge or soft brush to remove any residue, and dry it immediately with a towel to prevent corrosion or damage.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
- It is recommended to hand wash the product with warm soapy water.
Cleaning the knife block
- Take out the knives and flip the block over a garbage can, shaking to remove crumbs.
- Utilize a small vacuum attachment or pipe cleaner to thoroughly clean the inside of the knife block.
- Wipe the exterior with a warm, wet cloth or sponge, allowing it to dry upside down before reinserting the knives.
- Clean the knife block at least once a month.
Storage
- Store in a cool and dry place away from children and pets, ideally in original packaging.
- Keep the product at room temperature, as excessively hot or cold conditions may extract moisture from the knife block, leading to cracking or splitting.
Maintenance
NOTICE Serrated knives and bread knives should not be sharpened.
Regularly sharpen it using the knife sharpener included in the product.
- Hold the clean knife at a 15 “from the knife sharpener, placed securely on a flat surface.
- Begin at the bolster, smoothly pulling down and across the knife blade in a swift motion.
- Repeat this process on the reverse side of the blade for effective sharpening.
