INSTALLATION GUIDE
ASSEMBLING THE AIR SPRING
REAR
NOTE:
This spacer is required if the distance between the upper bracket and the
lower bracket is 6.75-7.5″. Otherwise, it is not required.
REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND INSTALLING THE UPPER MOUNTING BRACKET
STEP 1. Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be put into position between the axle and frame.
STEP 2. Remove the jounce bumper from the frame.
STEP 3. Thread the hex flange bolt to the bottom of the frame that we
just removed the jounce bumper from, Leave about a half inch between the
bottom of the frame and the bolt head there
STEP 4. Install the upper mounting bracket, let the flange bolt pass
through the keyway in the bracket, then lock the bolt to the frame.
STEP 5. Remove the brake line bracket under the leaf spring on both
sides. Remove the plastic clip from the ABS line between the leaf spring and
the wheel.
STEP 6. Measure the distance between the bottom of the top plate and the
top of the bottom plate, and if it’s between 6.75-7.5’at the factory ride
height, the spacers included in the kit will be used.
PLACING THE ASSEMBLY ON THE AXLE
STEP 1. Place the assembly on the alxe.
INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKET
STEP 1. Install the brake line bracket and the lower mounting bracket (2
of the Air spring bag kit list) under the leaf spring with hex bolt. Install
another hex bolt on the front side of the bracket.
STEP 2. Install the fastening block (of the Air spring bag kit list) with
lower mounting bracket to the frame, then tighten the carriage bolts with the
washers and nuts.
INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET
STEP 1. Placing the rolling plate on the top of the air spring bag. Then
tighten the bolts with washers and nuts.
STEP 2. Place the U-bolts on the frame and through the two holes in the
front of the upper bracket. Then tighten the bolts with washers and nuts.
STEP 3. Repeat the same installation steps on the other side.
STEP 4. You may be able to tie the wire harness and ABS line with zip tie, so it doesn’t rub against anything.
INSTALLING THE AIR LINES
STEP 1. Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the
fitting, then pull back and make sure it’s locked in place.
STEP 2. Install the inflatable valve in a selected location, usually on
the license plate at the rear of the vehicle.
