PRE-INSTALLATION NOTICE
- This product will not increase the load capacity of your vehicle.
- Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended weight limit.
- The installation process may require drilling, professional installation is recommended to ensure personal safety.
- All modifications must be installed by qualified personnel and in compliance with your local modification regulations.
INSTALLATION GUIDE
ASSEMBLING THE AIR SPRING
NOTE
The mounting holes for the driver’s side and the passenger’s side are
different.
REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND PLACING THE ASSEMBLY ON THE AXLE
STEP 1
Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can
be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be
put into position between the axle and frame.
STEP 2
Remove the jounce bumper from the frame with a pry bar.
STEP 3
Remove the two bolts that holding the brake line bracket. Then pull the
brake line bracket away so that the lower mounting bracket can be placed on
it.
STEP 4
Place the assembly on the axle.
INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKET
STEP 1
Align the brake line bracket slot hole with the hole of the lower mounting
bracket ( of the Air spring bag kit list), and use the hex bolt ( of the Air
spring bag kit list) to secure it.
STEP 2
Insert the ABS line holder into the small hole of the ABS bracket( of the Air
spring bag kit list), then attach it under the lower mounting bracket.
STEP 3
Pass the carriage bolts through the lower mounting bracket and the ABS
bracket, and then lock them with nuts.
STEP 4
Attach the fastening block( of the Air spring bag kit list) to the axle
with the carriage bolt. Then lock it with nuts.
INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET
STEP 1
Pry off the wire harness holder on the upper end of the frame, only on the
driver’s side.
STEP 2
Install the L-bolt( of the Air spring bag kit list ) on the frame and place it
under the harness.
STEP 3
Take the carriage bolt ( of the Air spring bag kit list) with the washer
through the L-bolt.
STEP 4
Adjust the assembly so that the air spring is perpendicular to the bottom and
top mounting brackets without twisting.
STEP 5
Install the driver’s side mounting bracket ( of the Air spring bag kit list)
with L-bolt and carriage bolt. Then tighten the nuts.
NOTE
The passenger side is installed in the same way.
STEP 6
Let the U-bolt pass over the jounce bumper cup, then install the U-bolt to
the upper mounting bracket, and lock it with the nut.
INSTALLING THE HEAT SHIELD
(PASSENGER’S SIDE ONLY)
STEP 1
Install the heat shield where it is closest to the passenger’s (right) side
air spring.
NOTE
Must slide the airline protective sleeve over the airline near the exhaust
port.
INSTALLING THE AIRLINES
STEP 1
Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the fitting then pull
back and make sure it’s locked in place.
STEP 2
Install the inflatable valve in a selected location, usually on the license
plate at the rear of the vehicle.
CHECK AIR TIGHTNESS
Put some air into the air spring bag, then spray a soapy solution on all connections and valves while checking for exiting air bubbles.
INSTALLATION COMPLETED
