PRE-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
- This product will not increase the load capacity of your vehicle.
- Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended weight limit.
- The installation process may require drilling, professional installation is recommended to ensure personal safety.
- All modifications must be installed by qualified personnel and in compliance with your local modification regulations.
INSTALLATION GUIDE
ASSEMBLING THE AIR SPRING
REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET
STEP 1.
Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be put into position between the leaf spring and frame.
STEP 2.
Remove the jounce bumper and cut the bolts. Then grind it down
flat.
STEP 3
Install the driver’s side upper mounting bracket (1 of the Air spring bag kit
list) to the frame with J-bolt (10 of the Air spring bag kit
list).
NOTE:
The passenger side is installed in the same way as the driver’s side.
STEP 4.
Install the jounce bumper to the upper bracket with hex bolt (8 or 12 of the Air spring bag kit list) and washer (21 of the Air spring bag kit list).
STEP 5.
Cut off the extended part of the J-bolt.
PLACING THE ASSEMBLY ON THE LEAF SPRING
STEP 1.
Place the assembly on the leaf spring.
INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKET
STEP 1.
Adjust the assembly so that the air spring is perpendicular to the bottom and top mounting brackets without twisting.
STEP 2.
Attach the lower mounting bracket (® of the Air spring bag kit list) to the
leaf spring with U-bolt (© of the Air spring bag kit list, then tighten the
nuts. The passenger’s side is the same way.
NOTE:
You may need to cut off the extended part of the U-bolt.
INSTALLING THE AIR FITTING
STEP 1.
Put the hex thin nut ( of the Air spring bag kit list) and lock washer (18 of
the Air spring bag kit list) on the upper threaded post of the air spring, and
tighten it after the installation is completed.
INSTALLING THE AIRLINES
STEP 1.
Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the fitting, then pull back and make sure it’s locked in place.
STEP 2.
Install the inflatable valve in a selected location, usually on the license
plate at the rear of the vehicle
CHECK AIR TIGHTNESS
- Put some air into the air spring bag, then spray a soapy solution on all connections and valves while checking for exiting air bubbles.
