Product Information

The JYL1320A model is a lighting fixture that requires installation by a licensed electrician. It comes with a mounting bracket, canopy nut, machine screw, chain, lock washer, threaded rod, ground screw, wire connector, canopy, hang loop, closable link, finial, and six bulbs. The item dimensions are 25 inches in diameter and can be adjusted to a height between 27.5-86.5 inches.
The product has some important safety instructions that need to be followed. Before installation, the main electrical supply from the main fuse box/circuit breaker needs to be switched off. The item needs to be inspected carefully before attempting to install. If there is any damage or obvious defect, do not install. The item may not be returned once it has been installed.
The external flexible cable or cord of this lamp cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the lamp shall be destroyed.

Product Usage Instructions

Before beginning assembly of the product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with the package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.

The estimated assembly time is 20 minutes. Follow the steps below to assemble the product:

1. Spread fixture arms of the body (P) to an equal distance apart.
2. Thread the long threaded nut (N) onto the coupling of the body (P) and secure it with the nut of the long threaded rod (N), then thread the column (M) onto the long threaded rod (N).
3. Fix the finial (Q) on the nipple at the bottom of the body (P).
4. Thread the fixture loop (L) onto the nipple of the column (M).
5. Connect chain (K) by fixture loop (L) and hang loop (H) with the closable link (I).
6. Secure mounting bracket (A) to the outlet box with machine screw (B). Insert lock washer (C) and thread the short threaded rod (D) onto the mounting bar (A), then secure with the nut of the short threaded rod (D).
7. Make wire connections, with wire connectors (F), following the reference chart listed in the product manual.

For installation in the United States, wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket, no less than 2 inches from the wire end. Tighten the ground screw. If the fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect it to the outlet ground wire with a wire connector. For installation in Canada, if the fixture is supplied with a ground wire, wrap the ground wire around the green grounding screw on the mounting bracket and tighten it.

• INSPECT ITEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR OBVIOUS DEFECT, DO NOT INSTALL. ITEM MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• To clean the outside of the fixture, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the surface of the fixture.
• To clean the inside of the fixture, first disconnect power to the fixture by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Next, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the interior surface of the fixture.
• Do not use any cleaners with chemical, solvents or harsh abrasives. Use only a dry soft cloth to dust or wipe carefully.

ASSEMBLING

6. Secure mounting bracket (A) to outlet box with machine screw (B), Insert lock washer (C), and thread the short threaded rod(D) onto the mounting bar (A), then secure with the nut of the short threaded rod(D).
7. Make wire connections, with wire connectors(F), following the reference chart listed below

Note : When parallel wire ( SPT I & SPT II ) is used. The neutral wire is square shaped and ridged and the hot wire will be round in shape and smooth. ( See Illustration on left. )
Grounding Instructions:

1. For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from the outlet box around green ground screw(E) on the mounting bracket, no less than 2″ from the wire end. Tighten the ground screw. If the fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect to the outlet ground wire with a wire connector.
2. For installation in Canada: If the fixture is supplied with ground wire, wrap the ground wire around the green grounding screw on the mounting bracket. Tighten the ground screw.

8. Orient the ceiling canopy(G) so that the short threaded rod(D) into the holes in the canopy, and thread the hanging loop(H) onto the short threaded rod(D), then secure it with the canopy nut(J).
9. Install bulbs(O). Be sure to use light bulb(s) with wattage no greater than specified on this fixture. Always make sure that electrical current is turned off before changing bulbs.
