Product Usage Instructions
Preparing the Coffee Maker
- Ensure the power switch is in the off position.
- Fill the water tank with the desired amount of water.

- Insert the metal funnel handle into the coffee maker.

Making Espresso

- Ensure there is no coffee powder on the edge of the portafilter.

- Properly install the portafilter into the coffee maker.
- Avoid using coffee powder that is too fine.
- Press the coffee powder lightly to the max line on the portafilter.
- If the two outlet holes of the portafilter are blocked, remove the filter and clean them.
- If the holes of the filter are blocked, soak it in clean water for about half an hour and then clean it with a brush.
- Once everything is prepared, start brewing by activating the coffee switch.
Making Cappuccino/Frothed Milk
- Ensure the coffee maker is powered on.
- Wait for the steam indicator to show that the steam function is ready.
- Attach the froth device to the steam pipe.
- Place a container of cold milk under the steam wand.
- Turn on the steam switch to release steam.
- Move the steam wand in a circular motion to froth the milk.

- WARNING: To avoid the risk of injury, do not open the brew chamber during the brew process.
- If you do not use the product for a long time, you need to turn on the power and then release steam for 3 minutes before leaving this product.
- If you cut off power during steam release, residual heat will make product continue to release steam for a length of time, the product will stop releasing steam immediately once you turn off steam knob.

Note for Plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Note for Power supply cord:
- A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
- Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
- If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
- If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord; and

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
To ensure the first cup of coffee tastes excellent, you should rinse the coffee maker with warm water as follows:

Pour water into water tank, the water level should not exceed the “MAX” mark in the tank. Then replace the water tank cover.
Note: the appliance is supplied with a detachable tank for easy cleaning, you can fill the tank with water firstly, and then put the tank into the appliance. -
Set steel mesh into metal funnel (no coffee in steel mesh).

Place a jug on removable shelf. Make sure the steam control knob is on the OFF position.
Note: the appliance is not equipped with jug, please use yourself jug or coffee cup. -
Connect to power source, Press the power switch “(!)”one time, the power indicator will flash and the unit will start preheat process, until the preheat process completed, the power indicator will change from flash to solid.

Press the coffee switch, the pump will pump water. When there is water flowing out and close the pump by pressing the coffee switch again, and then the appliance begins to be pre-heated until the power indicator change from flash to solid. This shows that the preheating is complete.
Note: When you press down the coffee switch, the pump indicator will turn on; when you press the coffee switch again, the pump indicator will turn off.
Note: There may be noise when pumping the water for the first time, it is normal; the appliance is releasing the air inside. After about 20s, the noise will disappear. -
After water does not drop out any more, you can pour the water in each container out then clean them thoroughly, now you can start brewing.
PRE-HEATING
To make a cup of good hot Espresso coffee, we recommend you preheating the appliance before making coffee, including the funnel, filter and cup, so that the coffee flavour cannot be influenced by the cold parts.
- Remove the detachable tank to fill it with desired water; the water level should not exceed the “MAX” mark in the tank. Then place the tank into the appliance properly.
- Select the steam mesh, Set steel mesh into metal funnel, make sure the tube on the funnel aligns with groove in the appliance, then insert the funnel into the appliance from the “Insert” position, and you can fix them into coffee maker firmly through turn it anticlockwise until it is at the “Lock” position.
- Place an espresso cup on removable shelf.
- Then connect the appliance to power supply. Make sure the steam control knob is on the OFF position.
- Press the power switch “(!)”one time, the power indicator will flash and the unit will start preheat process, until the preheat process completed, the power indicator will change from flash to solid.
- Press the coffee switch, the pump will pump water, when there is water flowing out and close the pump by pressing the coffee switch again.
Note: When you press down the coffee switch, the pump indicator will turn on; when you press the coffee switch again, the pump indicator will turn off.
MAKE ESPRESSO

Remove the funnel by turning it in clockwise. Add ground coffee steel mesh with measuring spoon, a spoon ground coffee power can make about a cup of top-grade coffee, then press the ground coffee powder tightly with the tamper.

Set steel mesh into metal funnel, make sure the tube on the funnel aligns with groove in the appliance, then insert the funnel into the appliance from the “Insert” position, and you can fix them into coffee maker firmly through turn it anticlockwise until it is at the “Lock” position.

Pour the hot water in the cup, after the cup is warmed up, empty the water in the cup and dry the cup, and then place the hot cup on removable shelf.

At the time, the power indicator shall be illuminated in solid, you should press the coffee switch, and there will be coffee flowing out. Press the coffee switch again when the required amount is got, and then the water pump stops working.
Warning: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended while brewing as the coffee will not automatically stop flowing! -
After finishing making the coffee, you can take the metal funnel out through turn clockwise, and then pour the coffee residue out with the steel mesh pressed by press bar.

Let them cool down completely, then rinse under running water.
NOTE: The maximum working time of the hot water pump is 90 seconds and then the product will without electricity; press the power switch again to start the machine. -
During brewing, when you find the coffee leaks out from outer side of portafilter or doesn’t flow smoothly, it have several reasons as below and you should stop the operation by resetting the MAKE ESPRESSO button. Remove the portafilter and clean the coffee powder and don’t use the inside coffee powder again.
Cause
- There is some coffee powder on the edge of portafilter.
- The portafilter is not installed properly.
- The coffee powder is too fine.
- The coffee powder on the portafilter is pressed too tightly.
- The two outlet holes of the portafilter is blocked.
- The holes of the filter is blocked.
Solution
- Clean coffee powder on the edge of the portafilter.
- Re-install the portafilter correctly.
- Do not use coffee powder that is too fine.
- Press the coffee powder lightly to the max line.
- Remove the filter and clean the two outlet holes under the portafilter
- Soak the filter in clean water for about half an hour, and then clean it with a brush.
MAKE CAPPUCCINO/FROTHED MILK
You get a cup of cappuccino when you top up a cup of espresso with frothed milk.
Method:
-
Prepare espresso first with container big enough according to the part “MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE”; make sure that the steam control knob is at the “-” or “OFF” position.
-
Press the steam switch, the steam indicator will flash and the unit will start preheat process, until the preheat process completed; the steam indicator will change from flash to solid.
-
Let off steam for 10 seconds before foaming the milk, drain excess water. Turn off steam knob to “OFF” position.
-
Fill a jug with about 200 ml of milk for each cappuccino to be prepared, you are recommended to use whole milk at refrigerator temperature (not hot!).
Note: In choosing the size of jug, it is recommend the diameter is not less than 70±5mm, and bear in mind that the milk increases in volume by 2 times, make sure the height of jug is enough. -
Insert the frothing device into the milk about two centimeters. Turn the steam control knob slowly anti-clockwise, steam will come out from the frothing device. Frothed milk is produced by moving the jug round from up to down.
Note: Never turn the steam control knob rapidly, as the steam will accumulate rapidly in short time which may increase the potential of the risk of explosion. -
When the required purpose is reached, you can turn the steam control knob to “OFF” position.
Note : Clean steam outlet with wet sponge immediately after steam stops generating, but care not to hurt! Cleaning the steam wand after each use of frothing milk is beneficial in preventing the buildup of milk residue. -
Pour the frothed milk into the espresso prepared, now the cappuccino is ready. Sweeten to taste and if desired, sprinkle the froth with a little cocoa powder.

Press the Power switch to cut the power source off. All indicators will be extinguished.
WARNING: After using the “steam” function to foam milk. If you immediately press the “Cup” button, the “Cup” and “Steam” indicators will flash quickly. This indicates that the equipment temperature is too high and needs to be cooled before the next cup of espresso can be made immediately. Ways to accelerate equipment cooling to continue making espresso: Press the “Cup” button twice in succession. The water pump will automatically draw water and lower the internal temperature. When the ” ( )” button changes from flashing to solid, you can press the “Cup” button to continue making espresso.
AUTOMATIC POWER OFF FUNCTION
If there is no any operation within 29 minutes, the unit will power off
automatically.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Plug out the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
- Clean housing of the appliance with moisture-proof sponge often. Clean water tank, drip tray and drip plate regularly and then dry them. Note: Do not clean with alcohol or solvent cleanser. Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning.
- Take the portafilter off by turning it clockwise, and then pour the coffee residue out. Wash the filter and portafilter with cleanser, rinse with clean water. Do not wash the portafilter in a dishwasher.
- Clean all the attachments in the water and dry thoroughly. Only the filter is dishwasher safe.
Note: Clean the appliance after every use in order to make it work properly.
CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS
- To ensure that your appliance operates efficiently, and to achieve peak coffee flavor, it is suggested that you clean the mineral deposits left behind every 2-3 months from the internal piping.
- Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the MAX level (the proportion of water and descaler is 4:1; details refer to the instruction of descaler.) Please use “household descaler”.
- According to the program of preheating, put the portafilter (no coffee powder inside) and jug in place.
- Brew water per section “PREHEATING”.
- When preheating is finished, press the coffee switch and make two cups of coffee (about 2 Oz). Then press the coffee switch again and wait for 5s.
- Press the steam switch. Wait until the steam indicator illuminates solidly. Turn the steam knob anticlockwise for 2 minutes (Place a cup under the steam wand to collect the water.) and then turn back to off position to stop making steam. Press the power switch to turn off the unit immediately. Let the descalers deposit in the unit at least 15 minutes.
- Restart the unit and repeat the steps of 4-6 at least 3 times.
- Press the power switch. Wait until the power indicator illuminates solidly. Press the coffee switch to brew until no descaler is left.
- Fill the water tank with tap water in the MAX level, repeat the steps of 4-6 for 3 times {it is not necessary to wait 15 minutes in step of 6), and then brew until no water is left in the tank.
- Repeat the step of 9 at least 3 times to make sure the piping is clean.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem | Reason | Solution |

Espresso function indicator and steam function indicator blink light. | The |
temperature inside the machine is too high because coffee is being made
immediately after steaming.| Press the coffee switch to pump water. Once the
indicator light stops flashing quickly press the coffee switch again to stop
the pump. After that, you can brew your coffee normally.
The metal parts in the tank have rust.| The descaler is not recommended type.
It may corrode the metal parts in the tank.| Use the descaler recommended by
manufacturer.
Water leaks from the bottom of coffee maker.| 1. There is much water in the
drip tray.| Please clean the drip tray.
2. When the water tank is pulled up after use, It is normal that there will
be water left on the desk.| As the water outlet at the bottom of the water
tank is a movable part and it is Not leaking.
3. The coffee maker is malfunction.| Please contact with the authorized
service facility for repairing.
Water leaks out of outer side of filter.| There is some coffee powder on
filter edge.| Get rid of them.
Acid (vinegar) taste exists in Espresso coffee.| 1. No clean correctly after
cleaning mineral deposits.| Clean coffee maker per the content in “before the
first use” for several times.

2. The coffee powder is stored in a hot, wet place for a long time. The
coffee powder turns bad.| Please use fresh coffee powder, or store unused
coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee powder,
reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
The coffee maker cannot work.| The power outlet is not plugged well.| Plug the
power cord into a wall outlet correctly, if the appliance still does not work,
please contact with the authorized service facility for repairing.
Can’t make milk froth.| 1.The steam function indicator is not illuminated.|
Only after the steam function indicator is illuminated, the steam can be used
to froth.
2. The temperature of the milk is inappropriate.| The milk temperature is
about 41- 45 F.
3. Use skim milk.| Use whole milk or semi-skimmed milk.
4. There is some dirt inside the steam wand
| Clean the Steam wand immediately after use every time with wet sponge.
5. The container is too big or the shape is not fit.| Use the Milk
Frothing Pitcher for espresso machine.
Do not take apart the appliance by yourself if the cause of failure is not found, you had better contact certified serving center.
