Product Information

The JYL7598A is a lighting fixture that requires installation by a licensed electrician. The product dimensions are 36D X (24-54)H. The package includes a mounting plate(B), machine screw(C), canopy(F), screwed balls(G), tube(H), ground screw(D), wire connectors(E), body(I), and bulbs(J). The product is not returnable once it has been installed.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before beginning assembly, ensure that all parts are present and undamaged. Do not attempt to assemble the product if any part is missing or damaged.
  2. Thread the mounting screws (A) into the matching holes of the mounting plate (B). Fix the mounting plate (B) to the outlet box using the machine screw (C).
  3. Connect the tubes (H) together to achieve the desired length. Fix the bottom end to the nipple of the body (I) and the top end to the swivel of the canopy (F).
  4. Make wire connections using wire connectors (E) following the reference chart provided in the user manual.
  5. For installation in the United States, wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw (D) on the mounting plate. Tighten the ground screw. If the fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect it to the outlet ground wire with a wire connector. For installation in Canada, wrap the ground wire around the green grounding screw on the mounting plate and tighten it.
  6. Orient the ceiling canopy (F) so that the mounting screws (A) protruding from the mounting plate (B) go into the holes in the canopy (F). Secure it with provided screwed balls (G).
  7. Install the bulbs (J). Ensure that you use light bulb(s) with wattage no greater than specified on the fixture. Always make sure that electrical current is turned off before changing bulbs.

Note:
Use on/off type A bulb max 40-watt or LED bulb max 9-watt. There are LED 6pcs 4watt bulbs in the box. Enjoy your lamp!

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To clean the outside of the fixture, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the surface of the fixture. To clean the inside of the fixture, first disconnect power to the fixture by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Next, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the interior surface of the fixture. Do not use any cleaners with chemical, solvents or harsh abrasives. Use only a dry soft cloth to dust or wipe carefully.

  • This item should be assembled on a soft surface to prevent scratching the finish during assembly
  • To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to persons or property, please follow the guideline below for safe use and installation
  • The external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire cannot be replaced

If the cord is damaged, the luminaire shall be destroyed

Part List and Hardware List

PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION

Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 20 minutes.

  1. Thread mounting screws (A) into the mattch holes of the mounting plate(B), then fix the mounting plate(B) to the outlet box with machine screw(C).
  2. connect the tubes(H) together to get desired length and fix the bottom end to nipple of the body (I), the top end to the swivel of the canopy (F).
  3. Connect, Hot, Black or Red Outlet Supply Wire to: Connect, Neutral, White Outlet Supply Wire to:
    Black White
  • Parallel Cord (round & smooth)| * Parallel Cord (square & ridged)
    Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without Tracer              (colored stripes)|

Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with Tracer (colored stripes)

Insulated Wire (not green) with a copper metal conductor

|

Insulated Wire (not green) with Silver metal conductor.

Make wire connections, with wire connectors(E), following the reference chart listed below.
Note: When parallel wire ( SPT I & SPT II ) is used. The neutral wire is square shaped and ridged and the hot wire will be round in shape and smooth. ( See Illustration on left. )
Grounding Instructions:

  * For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from the outlet box around green ground screw(D) on the mounting plate, no less than 2″ from the wire end. Tighten the ground screw. If the fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect to the outlet ground wire with a wire connector.
  * For installation in Canada: If the fixture is supplied with ground wire, wrap the ground wire around the green grounding screw on the mounting plate. Tighten the ground screw.
  1. Orient the ceiling canopy(F) so that the mounting screws(A) protruding from the mounting plate (B) go into the holes in the canopy (F), then secure it with the provided screwed balls(G).
  2. Install bulb(J). Be sure to use light bulb(s) with wattage no greater than specified on this fixture. Always make sure that electrical current is turned off before changing bulbs.
