Description – purpose of use

Fig.1, Model Extol® Premium 8891894 for 2 batteries

Fig.2, Model Extol® Premium 8891895 for 4 batteries

  • Fast chargers Extol® Premium 8891894 and 8891895 with a charging current of 3.5 A are intended for charging batteries from the SHARE 20 V (Extol® Premium and Extol® Industrial) cordless product range.
Charger models Extol® Premium 8891894 and 8891895 enable 2 batteries to be charged simul-taneously. It is possible to insert 4 batteries into charger model Extol® Premium 8891895, however only a maximum of 2 batteries will be charged simultaneously, and once they are charged, the char-ging of the remaining two batteries will start.

  • The charger charges, monitors and evaluates the charging of each battery individually, independently of all the other batteries. The charger can simultaneously (independently) charge batteries with various capacities. A battery with a lower capacity will be charged sooner than a battery with a higher capacity. The chargers have electronic protection against over-current, overcharging, overheating, indicate malfunc-tions and automatically shut off charging when the battery is fully charged – therefore the battery cannot be overcharged when inserted in the charger even after it has been fully charged. The charger terminals are not under voltage (live) when a battery is not inserted in the charger.
Fig.3, converter Extol® Premium 8891896 with USB output and LED lamp

  • An appropriate accessory for utilising the batteries from the cordless program Extol® Premium SHARE 20 V is the converter Extol® Premium 8891896 with USB sockets 2× 5 V-2 A for charging mobile phones and similar electronic devices intended for charging with this voltage, where the power source is the battery from the cordless program SHARE 20 V. The converter has a built in light source and can also be used as a lamp. The converter with USB sockets is not intended for use as a USB battery charger for the cordless program SHARE 20 V from, for example, a computer USB port.

  • Charge the batteries at an ambient temperature range of around 10-40°C.
  1. Insert the battery/batteries into the grooves of the charger so that it/they click/s in (is/are secured in place).

  2. Before connecting the charger to an el. power sour-ce, make sure that the that the voltage in the power socket is in the 100-240 V ~50/60 Hz range. The charger may be used in this specified voltage range and at the specified frequency.

  3. Insert the battery/batteries into the grooves of the charger so that it/they audibly click/s in.

  4. Insert the power cord plug into an el. power socket.
INDICATION OF THE CHARGING PROCESS AND POWER LEVEL
When a battery is being charged, the red indicator light is lit and the green indicator light flashes green, and when it is fully charged, only the green indicator light remains lit. In the event that no battery is inserted in the respective location, only the red indicator light will be lit.
ATTENTION: On charger model Extol® Premium 8891895 intended for 4 batteries, only a maximum of 2 batteries will be charged simultaneously, and once they are charged, the charging of the remai-ning two batteries will start. Not all 4 batteries are charged simultaneously.

Using converterExtol® Premium 8891896

The converter is intended only for use with batteries from the SHARE 20 V cordless program. Using diffe-rent batteries may cause damage to the converter or the charged electronic device. y The converter is intended for chaarging mobile phones and other electronic devices designed to be powered via a USB 5V-2A socket and/or as an LED lamp.

  1. Put the converter into the grooves of the battery so that the converter clicks into the battery (it is secured in place).
  2. Insert a USB cable plug of the charged electronic device into the USB socket of the converter.
  3. When the button on the converter is pressed for the first time, there will be voltage in the USB socket (the connected electronic device will be charged) and the red indicator light on the converter will be lit. If the button is not pressed, there will be no voltage in the USB socket. If no electronic device is connected to the converter for charging, then the indicator light will turn off after a few moments and there will be no voltage in the USB socket.
  4. Press the button again to light up the LED lamp and there will be voltage in the USB socket. It is possible to charge electronic devices and have the lamp lit at the same time.
  5. Pressing the button for a third time will turn off the lamp but there will be voltage in the USB socket if an electronic device that is being charged is connected.

ATTENTION

The battery has electronic protection against complete discharge, which damages it. The protection does not allow voltage to fall below a certain level, which manifests itself by el. current being suddenly cut off when the battery is flat (see indicator lights on the battery). As a result of the electronic protection against sudden complete discharge of the battery, it may happen that the charging of electronic devices may be suddenly stopped and/or the lamp may turn off.
