Features
The Extol® Light 43201, 43203 and 43211 are a source of direct warm white light the quality of which is comparable to daylight. The LED diodes have a low power consumption at a high light intensity, where the 10 W LED floodlight is equivalent to a standard 50 W incandescent light bulb and the 30 W LED floodlight is equivalent to a 150 W light bulb. Thanks to their low power consumption, resistance against splashing and spraying water (except for the 43211, see below) and dust proofness, whilst providing a wide lighting angle, adjustable tilt angle and being maintenance-free, mechanically durable and having a long lifetime (more than 30,000 hours), these LED floodlights are sui-table for the long-term lighting of buildings, outdoor and work areas or advertising spaces.
- Floodlight 43211 is equipped with a motion switch sensor with adjustable switching based on light intensity and lighting duration, meaning that a switch is not needed for its operation so it is ideal for lighting garage doors, yard areas, etc.
- This floodlight has a lower level of protection against the damaging entry of water (IP44) than floodlights 43201 and 43203 (IP65) and is thus designed for an under-roof installation so that it is protected against direct rain.
- The floodlights are designed for permanent installation and connection.

Connection and installation of the floodlight
ATTENTION
- Carefully read the entire user‘s manual before first use and keep it with the product so that the user can learn about it. If you lend or sell the product to somebody, include this user‘s manual with it. Prevent this user‘s manual from being damaged. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damages or injuries arising from use of the device that is in contradiction to this user‘s manual. Acquaint yourself with all the control elements and parts of the floodlight before using it. Check that all parts are firmly attached before use, also check that no part of the floodlight is damaged, namely the protective front cover and the insulation on the power cord. A degraded power cord is also considered to constitute damage. Do not use a floodlight with damaged parts and have it repaired at an authorised service centre for the Extol® brand.
WARNING
- The floodlight is designed for permanent connection to a terminal box. For safety reasons, according to ČSN EN 50110-1 and ČSN EN 50110-2 and ČSN EN 61140 the connection may only be performed by a person with appropriate professional electrical qualifications ( i.e. „person skilled in electrical installations“). If you
do not have such qualifications, have the appliance connected by a professional.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damages or injuries arising from the unprofessional connection of the floodlight to an el. power source or for damages resulting from a connection of the floodlight to anel. power source not protected against water because the IP protection marking does not apply to the connection of the floodlight.
CONNECTION
WARNING
- The floodlight may be connected to voltage in the range of 100-240 V~50 Hz. Prior to connecting the floodlight, check that the above-specified voltage is in the grid.
- The floodlight must be connected to a grid fitted with a residual current device (RSD) with a breaking current of 30 mA.
- Prior to connecting the floodlight, make sure that all relevant el. devices are not under voltage.
- A three-conductor electric cable must be used for the connection.
- The conductors must be connected as follows:
- The yellow-green wire must be connected to the terminal with the ground symbol.
- Blue wire to the terminal marked with the N (zero) symbol.
- Brown wire to the terminal marked with the L (phase) symbol.
- When connecting the power cable to the conductors on the floodlight, the connected conductors must be of the same colour.
WARNING
- Floodlight 43211 must be located under a roof so that it is protected against direct rain and snow or potential water spray!
ATTENTION
- The terminal box for the connection of the floodlight must be permanently protected against the entry of water. The IP protection level of the floodlight does not apply to the floodlight‘s connection to the power source.
- Do not locate the floodlight on a flammable surface. The floodlight must not be used in an environment where there is a risk of fire or explosion.
- Always use the floodlight with an undamaged protective front cover that prevents damage to the LED diode and its exposure to humidity/water and dust.
MOUNTING THE FLOODLIGHT
- Mount the floodlight at a height of 1-3 m above the ground. The direct distance from the illuminated object should be at least 0.5 m (Fig. 2). When the floodlight is mounted in a corner then it must be at least 20 cm away from the ceiling (Fig. 5).
- On floodlight 43211 with the motion sensor, set the lighting sensitivity of the floodlight on the underside of the sensor based on darkness and the lighting time (in the range from 10 seconds to 7 minutes). The motion sensor is vertically adjustable, so point it in the direction of the location where motion is to be detected.
ATTENTION
- Protect the power cord of the floodlight against thermal and mechanical damage. In the event of damage, immediately turn off the floodlight, disengage the voltage in the grid and organise a repair at an authorised service centre for the Extol® brand.
- The floodlight has a non-replaceable light source, which when not mechanically damaged has a lifespan of more than 30,000 hours and thus under normal circumstances it is not necessary to remove the floodlight’s front cover.
Cleaning, maintenance, repairs
- In the event that the floodlight requires cleaning, first unplug it from the el. power supply and allow it to cool down. Do not use abrasive cleaning products and organic solvents to clean the floodlight as this would damage it.
- In the event that the power cord itself is damaged, have it replaced at an authorised service centre for the Extol® brand.
- In the event of damage to the protective front cover of the floodlight, replace it with a new one. Do not use the floodlight when the front cover is damaged or the IP 65 level of protection against damaging entry of water, dust and dangerous touching is not provided. When the protective glass is replaced, it is necessary for the undamaged sealing components and the front cover to be reinserted and for the screws to be firmly tightened, otherwise the initial level of IP protection will not be provided.
- For warranty repairs, please contact the vendor from whom you purchased the product and they will arrange for repairs at an authorised service centre for the Extol® brand. For a post warranty repair, please contact the authorised service centre of the Extol® brand directly (you will find the repair locations at the website at the start of this user‘s manual).
