Product Usage Instructions

Startup:

1. Download the Mopeka Tank Check App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to your Phone.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your Phone and allow permissions if requested by the App.
3. Remove 2 screws and lid to access the sensor compartment.
4. Install 2 AAA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries with correct orientation as shown in the sensor.
5. Reinstall lid and screws securely.
6. Open Mopeka Tank Check App on your Smart Phone.
7. Press and hold the green sync button on the sensor for 5-10 seconds to sync it to the App.
8. Select your sensor in the App and adjust tank size and other settings as needed.

Installation:

1. Apply sonic grease on the center rubber pad, avoiding the magnets.
2. Place the sensor on the tank bottom following installation tips provided.
3. Use the bubble level tool in the app to ensure the sensor is installed level on the tank bottom.
4. Achieve 2-3 stars Quality in the App for optimal performance.

Installation Tips:

• If the sensor is repositioned, reapply the grease for good coverage of the rubber pad.
• For vertical tanks, install the sensor in the centre bottom, using blocks if needed for clearance.
• Avoid sensor contact with the ground. Blocks can improve the wireless range between the sensor and the device.

Startup

• Download the Mopeka Tank Check App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to your Phone.
• Ensure you have your BLUETOOTH activated on your Phone and allow permissions if the App requests it.
• Remove 2 screws and lid.
• Install 2 AAA batteries provided. Only use AAA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Note: Battery orientation is shown in the bottom of the sensor under each battery.
• Reinstall the lid and screws.
• Open the Mopeka Tank Check App on your smartphone.
• PRESS and HOLD the GREEN SYNC BUTTON on the sensor for 5-10 seconds to sync the sensor to App. Then CLICK on your located sensor in the App.
• In the App, go to the sensor page by clicking on the settings icon (The COG WHEEL in the top right corner of the App); and enter the appropriate tank size. Other settings may be adjusted as desired.

Installation

• Place the sonic grease on the center RUBBER pad as shown. Do not place grease on the Magnets.
• Place the sensor on the tank bottom. See installation tips below.
• Use the bubble level tool in the app to ensure that the sensor is installed level on the bottom of the tank. If sensor is not level, ultrasonic performance may be degraded.
• Once installed and level, the goal is to achieve 2-3 stars Quality in the App.
  Installation Tips:
  Apply grease to pad shown. Note also that if the sensor is repositioned several times, it may be necessary to reapply the grease, to ensure good coverage of the round rubber pad.

For vertical tanks, the sensor should be installed in the center, the bottom of the tank as shown. Place blocks, if needed, under the tank to allow adequate clearance for the sensor. Sensors should not contact the ground. Blocks will also increase the usable wireless range between the sensor and the device (phone/tablet).

For horizontal tanks , install the sensor on the bottom centerline of the tank. The sensor should be level to work properly. The sensor may be installed anywhere along the bottom centerline of the tank (as indicated by blue arrows below). Older tanks may have a buildup of sludge inside the bottom of the tank that can affect sensor performance. Relocating the sensor along the bottom centerline will usually resolve this issue, as there is typically a spot where tank filling will keep one area clear of sludge. Move the sensor as needed to achieve 2-3 Quality stars, as shown in the app.
