Operation explained
- Power on: Hold button A for about 3s while the device is off.
- Power off: Hold button A for about 5s while the device is on;
- Reset: Short press button A for about 10s at any state.
- Turn off/on the display: When the device powers on and not on the menu page, short press button A.
- Activate menu: When the device powers on and not on the menu page, hold button A for about 2s.
- Exit menu: On the menu page, hold button A for about 2s.
- Return to the previous menu step by step: On the menu page, short press button A.
- Switch submenus: Short press button CJD on the menu page.
- Confirm menu: Short press button Bon the menu page.
Bluetooth pairing mode (not on the menu page):
- If the device is never paired: After the device powers on, it will automatically enter the pairing mode with the display showing “Pairing”;
- Force the device to enter pairing mode: After the device was successfully connected, hold button B for about 5s until the display shows “Pairing”.
- Operation instructions after a successful pairing with a mobile phone through Bluetooth (not on the menu page): Activate Siri/voice assistant: Double press button B. Play/Pause/Answer/Hang up/Cancel a phone call: short press button B.
- Reject a phone call: Hold button B for about 2s when there is an incoming phone call.
- Volume up/down : Short press button C/D. Switch tracks: Hold button C/D for about 2s.
- Clear pairing: Hold buttons C and D at the same time for about 5s when the device is on.
How to connect the BTRlSto two Bluetooth devices simultaneously
- After a successful pairing with device l, hold button B for about 5s to enter the pairing mode again. Search for “BTR15” on device 2 and pair it with the BTR15. Back to device 1, select “FiiO BTR15” in the Bluetooth device list and reconnect them; or, after connecting the BTR15 with device 1 successfully, reenter the pairing mode and connect to device
- After a successful pairing with device 2, short press button B to reconnect to device 1; or, restart the BTR15 after a successful pairing with device 2, so the BTR15 can be connected to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
Switch modes
Toggle the mode switch to select the mode you want to use.
- PC mode: Toggle the switch to the The BTR15 will enter the USB decoding mode for desktop devices, and can be powered through USB.
- BT mode: Toggle the switch to the mi The BTR15 will enter the Bluetooth receiving mode. Plug in a USB power supply to power the BTR15.
- PHONE mode: Toggle the mode switch to the The BTR15 will enter the decoding mode for mobile phones, and will be disabled from USB charging.
Connect to the computer to enjoy music
- When the BTR15 is in UAC 2.0 mode for Windows computers, please go to FiiO’s official website to download and install the USB DAC driver. (For MACOS computers, there is no need to install the driver, but it requires selecting the BTR15 as the default device for audio output). FiiO Support website: https://www.fiio.com.cn/DriverDownload
- When the BTR15 is in UAC 1.0 mode, no driver is required. Just select the BTR15 as the default audio output device after connecting it to the computer. It is recommended to adjust the volume of the computer to the max level, and control the output volume on the BTR15.
Notes
- You’ll need to unplug and plug the BTR15 after switching between UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0.
- When working as a USB DAC under 2.0 mode, the BTR15 supports MQA Renderer, which will show “MQA” on the display. It requires working with music applications that support MQA Core Decoder.
- When connecting through Bluetooth or USB DAC, the BTR15 supports 60 levels of volume adjustment.
Notes and precautions
- It’s recommended to charge the device with a standard 5V charger.
- Please do not place the device in circumstances of excessive high/low temperature (above 45°C or below 0″C).
- Please keep the device ilway from liquids to avoid any damage to it.
- If the device is to be left unused for a longtime, please recharge it periodically to preserve its battery life.
- Please adjust the volume to a suitable level before putting on headphones, so as to protect your hearing.
- Please do not expose the battery to high temperatures; do not use the battery if it issoaked in water or severely swollen; do not disassemble, bump and squeeze the battery, or drop it into fire.
- If using a third-party power adapter for power supply, please use a standard and certificated one.
