Product Usage Instructions

Lighting Technology:
This luminaire contains high-quality electronic components. Avoid direct contact with the light output opening of the LED during installation or relamping. Use a separate power supply unit to operate the luminaire.

Safety:

Installation:
The luminaire requires an operating device that meets EN 61347-2-13 standards. The maximum idle voltage of 48 V DC should comply with SELV or SELV equivalent standards.

Connection:

Ensure correct wiring from the external 48 V power supply:
- Connect the wire from the negative pole to the terminal marked LED -.
- Connect the wire from the positive pole to the terminal marked LED +.
Center the LED module on the mounting plate and secure it in place.

Safety

The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Please note:
The luminaire can only be operated with an operating device that fulfills the requirements according to EN 61347-2-13. The maximum idle voltage of 48 V DC must conform to SELV or SELV equivalent.

Installation

LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.

A separate power supply unit is required to operate the luminaire (see Accessories).

Uninstall the luminaire housing.
To do this, insert a small screwdriver into the openings at the side of the luminaire housing.
Press the springs inwards and lift out the luminaire housing.
Loosen the hexagon socket screws (wrench size 3) slightly and turn the round blank with LED module to the side.
Make sure to avoid any direct contact with the PCB.
To do so, only touch the round blank at its outer edge.
Pass the connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
Fasten the mounting plate with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the installation surface.
Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make electrical connection.
Please ensure correct wire assignment for the connecting cable of the external 48 V power supply unit.
The wire from the minus pole must be connected to the free terminal of the luminaire marked with LED -, the wire from the plus pole to the terminal marked with LED +.
Guide the round blank with LED module onto the mounting plate in a central position and fasten in place with the two hexagon socket screws.
Guide the luminaire housing onto the mounting plate so that the two openings in the housing are aligned with the two spring elements of the mounting plate.
Press on the luminaire housing and make sure that the two springs engage in the openings.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets.
Close the luminaire.
