Tools
Required

2 Phillips screwdriver
- Lever hex tool (included)
Optional
- Star driver, T-15
- Hex driver (3/32″)
- 3/4″ Drill bit
- Locking pliers
Installation

Prepare door.
Use the included door template to complete the door preparation.
CAUTION
Do not drill through the backplate. The drill can catch on the backplate and cause injury. -
Install DPS (door position switch), if desired.
2a Prepare a 3/4″ (19 mm) hole, 1 1/2″ (38 mm) deep in the jamb exactly opposite the prepared hole in the door edge.
2b Install the jamb side of the switch into the hole.
2c Route the cable through the hole in the door edge and then through the hole on the inside of the door. Then push the switch into the hole.
NOTICE
The location of the DPS wire routing hole varies depending on which model of exit device you are using. Consult the door preparation template for exact location. -
Install exterior assembly
3a Select correct tailpiece hole and/or length.

3b Install the retainer and tailpiece.
3c Install the cotter pin. Bend the ends of the cotter pin to secure
tailpiece.
3d Adjust for handing.
Falcon 25 devices
Pull tailpiece out and rotate.
Von Duprin 99/22 devices
Move screw to correct position.
3e Move REX wire to the side of the slot to match the door handing.
3f Route cables through holes, as shown. Place exterior assembly against door
and hold.
- RIM: Install exit device per device instructions.
4a 99 and 22-Series ONLY: Install tailpiece adapter into center case.
4b Use included screws to attach center case to exterior assembly.

4c Push cables through gasket in interior plate. Secure with two (2) surface
mount screws and one through-bolt.

5a Install rods and center case per device instructions.

SVR: Install spacer and interior plate.
6a Push cables through gasket in plate.
6b Secure with three (3) screws.

Install interior assembly.
7a Connect all cables. Match cable color to label.
7b Hold assembly against plate and secure with two (2) screws.
NOTICE
Do not pinch cables. Tuck wires towards the bottom to avoid interference with the battery holder 7c Install batteries and tray.
The lock will begin to initialize when the battery holder is installed. See Testing (pg 6).

Install lever.
8a Loosen set screw in lever, using included hex wrench.
8b Push lever into place.
8c Tighten set screw firmly.
Complete Testing (pg 6) now, before installing covers. -
Install cover.
9a Slide cover onto assembly. Secure with two (2) screws.
Rehanding
a. Remove exterior assembly from door.
b. Loosen set screw. Remove tailpiece assembly and spindle, as shown.
c. Use hex wrench to press center of assembly to release the lever.
d. Ensure lever catch is recessed, and then reinstall the lever, facing the opposite direction. Lever will click when fully installed. Tighten set screw.
e. Reinstall all remaining parts.
NOTICE
Repeated lever removal may lead to failure of the set screw.
Testing

Basic operation
- Install the batteries. See step 7c.
- Allow the system to initialize.
- Verify three (3) green blinks on the exterior assembly.
- Rotate the lever and press the push pad to ensure smooth operation.
DPS
- Ensure the DPS is installed and connected correctly. See step 2.
- The lock should be in factory (FDR) mode.
- After power is applied and the system completes initialization (3 green blinks), cancel advertising by pressing and releasing the exit device push pad one time.
- Open the door. The interior and exterior indicators will blink blue (1X) and beep (1X).
- Close the door. The interior and exterior indicators will blink blue (2X) and beep (2X).
REX

Ensure the exit device pushpad switch is installed correctly and connected to the exit trim.
See the exit device installation instructions for more information. -
Lock must be in FDR Mode.

After power is applied and the system completes initialization (3 green blinks), cancel advertising by pressing and releasing the exit device push pad one time.

Push in and hold the exit device push pad. The device will blink amber (1X) and beep (1X).

Release the exit device push pad. The device will start advertising (blue light on, beep 1X).
