SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Always take basic safety precautions when using battery powered products to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
- The term “power tool” in all the warnings below refers to mains-powered (corded) or battery-powered (cordless) power tools.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Read these instructions carefully and familiarise yourself with the controls on the product and how they are used.
- Never allow children to use the product.
- Never allow persons who are not familiar with the product, or who have not read these instructions, to use it. There may be local regulations for the minimum age of persons allowed to use the product.
- Do not use the product when other persons, especially children, or pets, are in the vicinity.
- The user is responsible for any accidents or risks to other persons or property.
PREPARATIONS
- Always wear heavy-duty shoes and long trousers when using the product.
- Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery which can be drawn into the air intake. Keep long hair away from the air intake.
- Wear safety glasses.
- Wear a dust filter mask if the work produces a lot of dust.
HOW TO USE
- Only use the product in daylight, or in good artificial lighting.
- Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm footing and good balance.
- Make sure you always have a good footing on sloping ground and steps, etc.
- Never run with the product.
- Keep all the ventilation openings clean and free from debris.
- Always blow debris away from onlookers.

Do not allow familiarity with similar products to lead to exaggerated self
confidence and to neglect the safety instructions for the product. Remember
that a fraction of a second of inattention or negligence can result in serious
personal injury.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
- Make sure that all the screw unions are properly tightened to keep the product in safe condition.
- Replace damaged or worn parts. Only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Store the product in a dry place.

WORK AREA
- Keep the work area clean and well lit. Dark and cluttered work areas increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Do not use power tools in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gas or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust and fumes.
- Keep onlookers, especially children, and pets at a safe distance when using power tools. You can easily lose control of the product if you are distracted.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. There is a greater risk of electric shock if water gets into a power tool.
PERSONAL SAFETY
- Stay alert. Pay attention to what you are doing, and use your common sense when working with power tools. Never use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Remember that a fraction of a second of inattention or negligence can result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal safety equipment. Wear safety glasses. Depending on the type of product and how it is used, safety equipment such as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets and ear protection reduce the risk of personal injury.
- Avoid accidental starting. Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the plug or battery, or lifting/carrying the product. Carrying a power tool with your finger on the switch, or connecting a tool to the mains supply when the switch is in the ON position, increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Remove any adjuster keys and the like before starting the product. Spanners or the like that are left in a rotating part of the product can cause personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm footing and good balance. This ensures better control over the power tool in unexpected situations.
- Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose-fitting clothing, jewellery and long hair can get caught in moving parts.
USE AND CARE
- Do not touch the fan when the product is in use.
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for the planned work. The power tool does the job better and safer when used at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the power tool if it cannot be switched on and off with the power switch. Power tools that cannot be controlled with the power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
- Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use. Never allow children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions, to use the tool. Power tools are dangerous if used by inexperienced people.
- Keep the power tool properly maintained. Check that moving parts are properly adjusted and do not jam, and that no parts are incorrectly fitted or damaged. Check for other factors that could affect functionality. If the power tool is damaged, it must be repaired before being used again. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
- Use the power tool, accessories and bits etc., in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the actual working conditions and the work that is to be done. It can be dangerous to use power tools for purposes other than those for which they are intended to be used.
- Keep the handles clean, dry and free from oil and grease.
BATTERY USE AND CARE
- The battery must only be charged with the charger recommended by the manufacturer. A charger intended for one type of battery can result in a fire risk if used with another type of battery.
- Only use power tools with the batteries specified by the manufacturer. The use of other batteries can result in a risk of personal injury and/or fire.
- When the battery is not in use keep it away from metal objects such as paper-clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects that can short circuit the terminals. Short circuiting the battery terminals can result in a risk of burns and/or fire.
- Failure to handle the battery carefully can cause fluid to leak from the battery. Avoid contact with battery fluid. On contact with battery fluid, rinse immediately with plenty of fresh water. Seek medical attention on contact with battery fluid. Fluid leaking from the battery can cause irritation or burns.
SERVICE
- The power tool must only be serviced by qualified personnel using identical spare parts. This will ensure that the power tool remains safe to use.

Always wear ear protection.
The declared vibration value, which has been measured by a standardized
test method, can be used to compare different tools with each other and for a
preliminary assessment of exposure. The measurement values have been
determined in accordance with EN 50636-100:2014.
WARNING!
The actual vibration level when using power tools may differ from the
specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used. It is therefore
necessary to determine which safety precautions are required to protect the
user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating conditions (taking
into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is
switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the startup time).

ASSEMBLY
WARNING!
Always remove the battery from the product before assembly, otherwise there is
a risk of unintentional starting that can cause serious personal injury.
FITTING THE BLOWPIPE
- Hold the product with the logotype up, press in the tube lock and put the blowpipe on the outlet.
- Push the blowpipe onto the outlet so that the tube lock clicks in place in the opening in the blowpipe.
- To blow wet leaves or heavier debris, fit the high speed nozzle on the outlet on the product. Check that the nozzle locks in place over the tab on the nozzle.
INSERTING THE BATTERY
- Align the ribs on the battery to the slots in the product and insert the battery.
- Check that the battery is locked in place before use.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure to align the ribs on the battery with the slots in the product.
Check that the battery is fully inserted and has locked in place. There is a
risk of damaging the product if the battery is not correctly inserted.
REMOVING THE BATTERY
- Switch off the product by releasing the speed control.
- Press in the battery lock.
- Remove the battery from the product.
USE

INTENDED USE
Only use the product as it is intended to be used and in accordance with these instructions:
- For clearing hard surfaces such as drives and paths.
- For keeping drives, garages and patios free from leaves, needles and other debris.
NOTE:
Never use the product for anything other than the purpose it was designed for.
STARTING/STOPPING
- Start the product by putting the power switch in the On position and pressing the speed control (2). The air speed increases the more the speed control is pressed.
- Switch off the product by putting the power switch in the Off position.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid unintentional starting, always put the power switch in the Off
position when carrying the product and when it is not in use.
HOW TO USE
- To avoid spreading rubbish, blow round the edges of rubbish piles. Never blow straight towards the middle of a pile.
- Loosen the rubbish with a rake or brush before starting. Dampen the surface in dusty conditions, if possible.
- Tidy up after finishing the work. Dispose of the rubbish in accordance with local regulations.

MAINTENANCE
- Always check before use that no parts are damaged, missing or worn. Firmly tighten all screw unions. Do not use the product if any parts are missing or damaged – risk of serious personal injury. Have the product checked and repaired before using it again.
- Do not use solvent on plastic parts, this can damage the plastic. Remove any dirt, dust, oil or grease with a clean cloth.
IMPORTANT:
Never let brake fluid, petrol, oil-based products, penetrating oils, etc.

STORAGE
- Remove the battery from the product before putting into storage.
- Remove all foreign material from the product.
- Keep this product out of the reach of children.
- Store the product away from corrosive substances, such as salt.
- Charge and store batteries in a cool area.
- Do not store discharged batteries.
Allow the battery to cool and then charge it.
- Store the battery in a dry place at no more than 27°C.
- Batteries self-discharge, especially in high ambient temperature. For best battery life, charge the battery every or every other month, even when the product is not in use.
