Product Usage Instructions

• Safety Information:
  The installation and operation of this luminaire must adhere to national safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician should perform installation and commissioning to prevent damage due to improper use or installation. Any modifications to the luminaire should be done by authorized personnel.

• Overvoltage Protection:
  The electronic components in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage as per DIN EN 61547 standards. For additional protection against transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website.

• Facility:
  When mounting or dismantling the product, maintain a minimum distance of 450 mm between the removable cap and the wall. Avoid direct contact with the light output opening of the LED during installation or relamping to prevent damage to the high-quality electronic components.

Spares:
Available spare parts include spare glass, an LED power supply unit, LED modules in both 3000 K and 4000 K variants, and a gasket for maintenance purposes.

Insulation housing

Installation

• For mounting and dismantling please keep a minimum distance of 450 mm between the removable cap and the wall.
• LEDs are high-quality electronic components!
• Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.

Open luminaire:

• Loosen the knob, and remove the cap and glass.
• Drill mounting holes into the mounting surface – spacing 450 mm.
• For the mains supply connecting open the insulation housing – pull open – strip mains supply cable max. 15 mm and lead it into the insulation housing – see sketch.
• Make earth conductor connection and electrical connection.
• Connect both parts of the insulation housing until they audibly engage.
• The outer coating of the cable has to be fully enclosed by the compression nipple.
• Fix the luminaire with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
• Remove bubble wrap underneath the LED module.
• Place glass into the luminaire housing, close the luminaire with the cap and screw in the knob into the cap.

Dimension

Cleaning And Maintenance

• Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.
• The defective glass must be replaced.

Replacement of the LED module

• The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
• The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
• Disconnect the system.
• Loosen the lateral knob, remove the cap and take out the glass.
• Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
• The defective glass must be replaced.
• Insert glass into luminaire housing, close luminaire with the cap and screw in knob into the cap.
