Product Usage Instructions

Safety Precautions:

Overvoltage Protection:

Installation:
- Before installing the luminaire onto the mounting surface, insert the luminaire housing into the trim ring provided as an accessory. To release the synthetic diffuser, turn it counterclockwise.
Optional Accessories:
- Metal trim rings in three enamel surfaces are available as optional accessories and must be ordered separately. The available colours are white, palladium, and glossy silver.
Replacement Parts:
- If needed, spare parts including synthetic covers and LED units in different colour temperatures (2700 K, 3000 K, 4000 K) are available for purchase.

Application

Ceiling and wall luminaire indoor luminaire made of impact-resistant synthetic diffuser and metal housing, for all lighting tasks. They are ideal for places where a soft and uniform lighting distribution is required.

To achieve additional protection against e.g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Luminaire with trim ring:

Before installing onto the mounting surface the luminaire housing must be inserted into the trim ring (accessory).

Installation

LEDs are high-quality electronic components!
- Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
- Pass the main supply cable through the grommet into the luminaire housing.
- Fix luminaire housing with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material on to the mounting surface.
- It is imperative to use the enclosed gaskets.
- Dismantle the mains supply cable approx. 60 mm.
- Make earth and electrical connections to the terminals.
- Place the synthetic diffuser into the luminaire housing and observe that the cam pins fit into the notches of the synthetic diffuser.
- Screw in a synthetic diffuser by turning it clockwise.
- Thus, you reach a safe and vibration-resistant holding of the synthetic diffuser.
- To release the synthetic diffuser from the luminaire housing, turn it counter-clockwise.

Replacement of the LED unit

The designation of the LED unit is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement units correspond to those of the
LED units were originally fitted. The LED unit can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect from the main supply.
Unscrew the synthetic diffuser from the luminaire housing by turning it counterclockwise.
Disassemble the LED unit.
Assemble the LED replacement unit.
Note the installation instructions for the LED unit.
Screw in a synthetic diffuser by turning it clockwise.
A damaged synthetic diffuser must be replaced.
