Product Usage Instructions

• Step 1: Inspection
  • Inspect the kit to ensure all components are included.
• Step 2: Planning
  • Decide where to place the light strips and ensure the wiring length is sufficient for installing the control box in the desired location.
• Step 3: Download App
  • Scan the QR code on the control box to download the OPT7 Connect App.
• Step 4: Secure Control Box
  • Secure the control box in the desired location using Velcro or zip ties. Keep it away from the elements as it is not waterproof.
• Step 5: Secure Light Strips
  • Use zip ties to secure the light strips and wiring away from moving components. Protect LED connectors with a heat shrink tube or electrical tape for longevity.
• Step 6: App Configuration
  • Open the OPT7 Connect App, pair your smartphone with the control box, and choose your desired colour and mode for the lighting.

FAQs

• Q: What should I do if my installation exceeds 10 AMPs?
  • A: Connecting to more than 10 AMPs will cause early failure. Ensure your setup does not exceed this limit.
• Q: Can I use the aux wiring for brake lights?
  • A: Yes, connect the aux wiring to the trigger wire of your brake light and set the colour to red within the OPT7 Connect App.
• Q: How many devices can I control with the OPT7 Connect App?
  • A: You can control up to 4 devices simultaneously using the app.

INSTALLATION

• STEP 1 Inspect the kit to ensure all contents are included.
• STEP 2 Decide where to locate the light strips and ensure the wiring has enough length for the control box to be installed in the desired location.
  • WARNING
  1. Connecting to more than 10 AMPs will override the kit and cause early failure, ensure it is 10AMPs or less!!
  2. Please ensure that the LED bars or strips/control box/wiring all are mounted in areas that will not exceed 85℃ or 185℉.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE!! Before You Start
  • We provide multiple sets of extension wires for you to configure. You can quickly extend them wherever you want to install them.
  • AUX WIRING FOR A BRAKE LIGHT
  • You may choose the desired colour choice directly on the OPT7 Connect app
  • This feature will activate when the aux wiring is connected to the trigger wire for the positive (+) wire of your brake light wire.
  • WARNING NOTE
  • You should ONLY set the colour of your aux wire to “red” in colour choices within the app. If you plan on connecting the aux wire to your brake signal wire.
• STEP 3 Scan the QR code on the back of the control box to download the
• STEP 4 Secure the Control box in the desired location with Velcro or zip ties. The control box is NOT waterproof. Tuck it away from the elements.
• STEP 5 Secure the light strips using the zip ties to tie all the wiring away from the moving components.
  • IMPORTANT: The LED connectors are not waterproof. You will need to use HEAT SHRINK TUBE or ELECTRICAL TAPE around the LED connectors to ensure the longevity of the lighting kit.
• STEP 6 Open the “OPT7 Connect” App, pair your smartphone to the control box, and pick your desired color!
