The front factory bash plate needs to be removed and kept for refitting. The main X member should be removed and replaced with the supplied dropped cross member. The diff mounting brackets should be transferred to the new X member, and the rearmost X member should be removed and fitted with the supplied offset bushings.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Properly support the vehicle on stands or hoist. Remove the front bash plate from the vehicle.

  2. Support the diff housing with a gearbox stand as required.
Remove the front diff mount bolts and remove the cross member from the vehicle.

  3. Remove the factory diff brackets from the cross member and fit them to the new dropped cross member using the new bolts and washers provided.

  4. Reinstall the cross member to the vehicle and leave the bolts loose.

  5. Reposition the gearbox stand to best support the diff at the rear cross member. Remove the rearmost cross member by removing the two bolts above the diff center and then removing the remaining bolts to the chassis mount.

  6. Remove the cross member from the vehicle and replace the OE bushings with the supplied two-piece bushings. Install the crush tube to the bushing, keeping the offset hole in the uppermost position as pictured.

  7. Refit the cross member to the vehicle and tighten all bolts to the factory-specified torque settings.

  8. Refit the factory bash plate. Due to the height change with the mounting on the dropped cross member, some alteration to the bash plate is required to align holes.
