Product Usage Instructions
Door Preparation
- Determine if the door is Right Hand Reverse (RHR) or Left Hand Reverse (LHR) for proper installation orientation.
- Drill four 11 holes on the door for exterior trim installation. Refer to the provided template for accurate hole placement.
End Cap Bracket Installation
- Mark the centerline on the door and align the template along it.
- Mark the chassis assembly holes and mortise lock cutouts on the door.
- Cut out for the act arm and prepare three holes for the end cap bracket. Install surface mount sex bolts accordingly.
Strike Preparation
For single door installation, mark the horizontal device centerline. For
double door installation, follow the provided instructions.
Mortise Lock Installation:
Mark the vertical centerline at the lock side using the backset dimension.
Install the mortise lock into the door and secure it with backplate screws.
Mounting Plate Installation:
Install the faceplate of the mortise lock and fix the mounting plate on the
mortise lock using two screws. This step is only necessary for exit devices
when no exterior trims areinstalled.

DARW HORIZONTAL DEVICE CENTERLINE (免)
Close door,mark horizontal centerline on inside face of
door and shown.(Continue on lock side horizontal door stop centerline from to finished outside floor face as of door if trim is used) -
ALIGN TEMPLATE ALONG CENTERLINE AND MARK DOOR.
Mark 4 center case holes.Mark vertical centerline at lock side using 2¾” backset dimension. -
PREPARE 4 CHASSIS ASSY HOLES AND MORTISE LOCK CUTOUTS.
Mark vertical centerline at lock side using 2沂backset outside dimension face (if of trim door is using .Use extra mark care vertical if edge centerline of door on is the beveled, be sure X-X vertical centerline is parallel to edge of door). -
INSTALL MORTISE LOCK INTO DOOR.
Install backplate mortise screws. lock into door and fasten with -
INSTALL MORTISE LOCK
Install face plate of mortise lock. Then, fix the mounting plate on the mortise lock by two screws.
(This mounting plate is only for exit device, when no exterior trims installed.) -
INSTALL TRIM <IF USING) TO DOOR.
Support screws are required for installation. Need to drill four (4) holes on the door (please refer to TEMPLATE) and only needs two (2) screws to fix the exterior trim (refer to TEMPLATE of Exterior Trim, accordingly) -
INSTALL ACT ARM
(Standard handed is RHR as shown) -
SECURE DEVICE CHASSIS ASSY

INSTALL SUPPLIED STRIKE TO FRAME OR OTHER DOOR
-
INSTALL MOUNTING BRACKET AND END CAP.
-
ADJUSTING LATCH BOLT
-
INSTALL HEAD COVER
-
TEST PUSH RAIL & THE DOGGING FUNCTION
-
The latches should engage the strikes when the door is closed, and the latches should disengage from the strikes freely when the push rail is depressed or dogged down.
-
When applying outside trims:
-
No trims : Exit only, latch bolts are retracted just by the push rail inside.
-
Entrance : latch bolts are retracted by trim outside after the trim unlocked.
-
Storeroom : latch bolts are retracted by trim outside with key only.
-
Passage : latch bolts are retracted by trim outside always open.
-
Dogging: Use dogging hex key and turn clockwisely 90° when depressing push rail. Latch bolts will remain retracted.

CHANGE HANDING OF DEVICE
OPTIONAL DOGGING
- Exchange the sliding cover from standard to cylinder dogging kit.
- Put the plastic plug inside the original dogging hole.
OPTIONAL ALARM FUNCTION
- Exchange the sliding cover from standard to alarm kit.
- Test the alarm kit. Turn the alarm function on and press push rail to test the alarm is workable to sound. Then, turn the alarm function off.
CUT DEVICE (IF REQUIRED)
Note: Device must be cut square for proper end cap fit.
MORTISE LOCK PREPARATION
- Prepare door for device and trim (see their instructions).
- Prepare door for mortise lock (see preparation on other side of these instructions).
- Change lock handing if required:
