SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The product has been tested and approved in accordance with PPE standards: EN
352-2:2020, EN 352-7:2020,
EN 352-9:2020 and EN 352-10:2020.
- The Earbuds are provided with level-dependent attenuation and safety-related audio input. Check correct operation before use. If distortion or failure is detected, refer to the troubleshooting advice.
- The typical period of continuous use that can be expected when fully charged is up to 13 hours. Battery life performance may deteriorate beyond this time and with normal usage.
- The output of the audio circuit of the hearing protector may exceed the exposure limit level.
- The REDLITHIUM USB™ Jobsite Earbuds provides an entertainment audio facility. The earplug provides audio signal sound pressure level limitation which limits the entertainment audio signal to 82 dB(A) effective to the ear. This limit is maintained for Bluetooth signal inputs which are standard to the Bluetooth A2DP, HFP, and HSP specifi cations.
- The audibility of warning signals at a specifi c workplace may be impaired while using the entertainment facility.
- The foam inserts should be regularly inspected for deterioration, cracking, or other damage. The inserts can be cleaned in between uses with a damp cloth and water. Over time, the inserts should be replaced. The usage time for the maximum input signal that corresponds to an equivalent sound output level of 82 dB(A) is over 8 h.

CHARGING (ILLUSTRATION B)
- First the battery of the charging box has to be charged.
- Plug your USB cable into a power source such as an AC wall adaptor, computer or car port.
- Always close the USB cover when unit is not charging to maintain dust and moisture protection.
- The indicator light will display the charging status:
- Red breathing: charging 0-49% charged
- Yellow breathing: charging, 50-99% charged
- Green solid: 100% charged
- Red/Green flashing: too hot, too cold or faulty
- If the light continues to fl ash red and green, the battery may be cold, faulty, or the battery did not fully charge after 12 hours. The battery may also be too hot. Allow the battery to cool down or warm up.
- Earbuds will charge if properly seated in the case and a charged REDLITHIUM™ USB battery pack is inserted. The earbuds indicator lights will illuminate when proper contact for charging has occured.
- If case is plugged into a power source without a battery pack, the earbuds will charge and case charge indicator light will illuminate fl ashing red/green.
- NOTE: Misaligned ear wings/bands may cause the earbuds to shift in the case. Always ensure proper charging contact to the earbuds before closing the case. If the Earbuds are in the charging box, they are charged at the same time. The light ring on the Earbuds indicates the charging status as follows:
- Red solid: 0–5% charged
- Yellow solid: 6–53% charged
- Green solid: 54–100% charged
- Fully charged Earbuds have an operating time up to 13 h (depending on the volume setting).
- One battery charge of the charging box is suffi cient up to 7 charges of the Earbuds.
USE EARBUDS (ILLUSTRATION E)
-
After opening the charging box, the illuminated rings on the earbuds indicate the charging status.
-
The earbuds switch on automatically when they are removed from the charging box. When placed in the charging box, the earbuds automatically switch off again. The earbuds switch off after 30 minutes of non-use when they are not in the charging box.
If the earbuds are under Jobsite Aware Mode mode, the earbuds will not be switched off. Only at the status of the Bluetooth connection, the earbuds will switch off . -
When the Earbuds are taken out of the charging box for the fi rst time, they switch on and go into pairing mode (the light rings flash blue). On the device (mobile phone, tablet…) that is to be connected,
-
open the Bluetooth settings and establish the connection with “REDLITHIUM USB Jobsite Earbuds”. The connection is displayed and the battery capacity of the Earbuds is indicated.
The Earbuds remain connected to the device as long as they are switched on and within range. When the Earbuds are switched off (e.g. placed in the charging box), the Bluetooth connection is disconnected. When switched on, the Bluetooth connection is automatically re-established.
If the Bluetooth connection is not established automatically (e.g. because the device was manually disconnected), the Bluetooth connection can be
re-established manually. To do this, manually turn off the earbuds, press the buttons on both Earbuds for 3 seconds – the switch-on signal sounds. Then press and hold both buttons for a further 5 seconds – a 3-chime tone will sound when earbuds activate pairing mode.
The earbuds will continue to search for a signal for 3 minutes.
While the blue LED light is fl ashing, select “REDLITHIUM USB Jobsite Earbuds” on the Bluetooth® capable device.
A tone will play in the earbuds to confi rm the devices are paired successfully. After fi rst time use, the earbuds will attempt to pair with the previous connected Bluetooth® device.
If connection is lost between the earbuds and the Bluetooth® device, the earbuds will try to reconnect automatically to the last connected device for up to 3 minutes.

JOBSITE AWARE MODE
This is a microphone technology that allows the user to hear the world around
them, but always at a safe listening level. When ambient noise breaches a safe
listening level, the microphone technology immediately responds and attenuates
to a safe level.
INSTALLING EARRINGS (ILLUSTRATION D)
The earwings can provide a better hold in the ears. This depends on the anatomy of the user. Make sure the earwings fit correctly (see illustration).
INSTALLING INSERTS
Inserts in diff erent sizes are supplied. The inserts are simply clipped on.
Spare inserts can be stored in the charging box.
Decide which inserts you want to use:
Silicone inserts: comfortable but less sound absorption.
Foam inserts: better sound absorption.
INSERT EAR-PLUGS (SECTION E)
Wash hands before use.
- If using foam inserts gently roll the insert between thumb and fi ngers, slowly increasing pressure until earplug is compressed into a thin, smooth cylinder.
- To insert the earplug pull the outer ear up and back with one hand and insert the earplug into the ear canal with the other hand.
- If using foam inserts hold the earplug in place for at least 40 seconds, allowing the ear plug to expand down into the ear canal.
- If using earwings turn the Earbuds until the Earbuds fi ts.
- Make accoustical check: once both Earbuds are properly in place, listen to a loud, steady sound. Cover ears with a cupped hand – the sound should not change significantly. If you cannot obtain a good fit, try a different type of hearing protector.
- Start music on the device or make a call.
- Removal: Remove Earbuds slowly with a twisting motion.
Wear the Earbuds for as long as the exposure to the noise persist.
Re-check the fi t often. The Earbuds could loosen up when you talk and chew. This could lose your noise protection.
WARNING! Rapid removal may damage the eardrum.
