Ford 205-03A Front Axle Housing Vent Hose

Product Usage Instructions
- Remove the front LH wheel by referring to the “Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation)” section in the manual.
- Remove the engine rear undershield by referring to the “Engine Rear Undershield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation)” section in the manual.
- Remove the pin-type retainers and the fender splash shield.
- Disconnect the front axle housing vent hose. Detach the retainer clip from the front axle housing vent hose and position it aside.
- Detach the front axle housing vent hose from the metal tube, making a note of the installation mark.
- Inspect the front axle housing vent hose for damage or blockage. If it is damaged or clogged, replace it with a new vent hose. This step is not necessary when installing a new component.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Removal
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove front LH wheel only.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation). -
Remove the engine rear undershield.
Refer to: Engine Rear Undershield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation). -
Remove the pin-type retainers and the fender splash shield.

Disconnect the front axle housing vent hose.

Detach the retainer clip from front axle housing vent hose and position aside.

Make a note of installation mark.
- Detach the front axle housing vent hose from metal tube.
- Detach the front axle housing vent hose from metal tube.

NOTICE: Make sure the front axle housing vent hose is not damaged or blocked.
NOTE: This step is not necessary when installing a new component.
Inspect the front axle housing vent hose for damage or clogged. If found damaged or clogged, replace with new vent hose.
Installation
- To install, reverse the removal the procedure.
