SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION BURN RISK

  • Incorrect use of the appliance may cause injury: always follow these instructions.
  • This appliance heats water up to 100°C, never handle the product when it is in use.
  • Never launch a cycle without any water in heating unit.
  • Never touch the heating plate with hand at the end of cycle.

USE

  • This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments, bed and breakfast type environments.

POWER CONNECTION

  • This device must not be submerged

  • Switch off the appliance before unplugging it.

  • Unplug the appliance before assembling, dismantling or cleaning.

  • Unplug the appliance if you leave it unsupervised.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Wash your hands well before handling your baby’s products and food.
  • Always use the appliance on a stable and even surface.
  • Do not place the appliance near a heat source, hotplates, etc.
  • Do not move the appliance or cover it when in use.
  • Before preparing a bottle, consult a healthcare professional or your pediatrician for further information about food safety and preparation (water to use, storage, preparation method, etc.).
  • Also refer to the instructions supplied with your milk for any specific recommendations.
  • The temperatures indicated are for information purposes. Before feeding your baby, check the temperature of the food by pouring a few drops onto the inside of your wrist.
  • You can stop the cycle at any time by pressing again on the ON/OFF button or other button, but you can’t restart the cycle after stopping it.

PROGRAMS OPERATION

STARTING UP OF APPLIANCE

  1. Plug the appliance into an earthed 220-240V socket.
  2. Before the 1st use, it is recommended to launch a Steam fast cycle for 5 min
    • Pour 40ml of water into the unit.
    • Close the lid and press the “steam fast” button.
  3. Wait for the unit to cool down, and clean the tank and surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe carefully.

Five automatic programs are available

  • Steam fast mode : heat a bottle of milk /water quickly with steam
  • Baby jar mode : heat baby food jar in water bath
  • Water bath mode: heat the breast milk slowly in water bath and maintain the temperature
  • Defrost mode: defrost breast milk in water bath
  • Sterilize mode: sterilize baby bottle

Note: To reset the default settings of the appliance’s programmes (times and temperatures), press on + and – together for 5 seconds.

STEAM FAST MODE
The Steam Fast mode is used to heat milk or water by steam. It only takes 2 to 5 minutes to obtain a bottle at a temperature of approximately 37°C.

  1. Pour 40ml water into the bottle warmer.
  2. Place the bottle and lift-out basket into the bottle warmer.
  3. Put the lid on.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button.
  5. Press the Steam Fast mode button.
  6. When the time indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the warming time as you wish (1-10 mins). The deafult time is 3 minutes.
  7. The bottle warmer will start working after the time indicator flashes twice. The Steam Fast mode button keeps flashing and time indicator is counting down while this function is working.
  8. The bottle warmer will beep 5 times at the end of countdown.

BE CAREFUL, RISK OF BURNING

Take the bottle out immediately after timer run out to avoid overheating.
Always check that the temperature of the milk is not too high and that there is no risk of burning your child.

  • These recommendations are based on the test with the use of the BEABA wide neck glass bottle and the 2-in-1 training plastic bottle.

Note

  • Heating time varies with different brands of bottles and materials. The volume of milk/water to be heated has also a significant impact. If the bottle is not hot enough, put it back in the appliance and restart the Steam Fast mode to heat again for few minutes.
  • After preparation, the bottle should be consume within 30 min. Discard any unfinished baby bottle, and do not reheat a second time.

BABY JAR MODE
The Baby Jar mode is for heating gradually the baby food.

  1. Pour water into the bottle warmer (level max).

  2. Place the baby food container and lift-out basket into the bottle warmer. Note : for small capacity baby jars, put the container first et then add water

  3. Press the ON/OFF button.

  4. Press the Baby Jar mode button.

  5. When the time indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the working time (1-59 mins). The default time is 30 mins.

  6. The bottle warmer will start working after the temp/time indicator flashes twice. The Babyjar mode button keeps flashing. The control panel shows the real time water temperature while the product is working.
    BE CAREFUL, RISK OF BURNING
    During the heating, stir the baby food to make sure that it is heated evenly.

  7. The bottle warmer will beep 5 times at the end of countdown.

Always check that the temperature of the baby food is not too high and that there is no risk of burning your child.

Please take the recommendation above as the referenced need warming time and check if the baby jar is ready at that moment.

WATER BATH MODE
The Water Bath mode can warm gradually the breast milk until it arrives at the desired temperature (22°C to 42°C). The gentle heating is ideal for breast milk as it allows to keep the nutrients.

  1. Pour water into the bottle warmer (level max)
  2. Place the bottle and lift-out basket into the bottle warmer.
  3. Press the ON/OFF button.
  4. Press the Water Bath mode button.
  5. When the temperature indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the temperature as you wish (22°C-42°C). The default temperature is 37°C.
  6. If you want to customize warming time, press again the Water Bath mode button. When the time indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the working time (1-59 mins, 1-3 hours). The default time 30min.
  7. The bottle warmer will start working after the temp/time indicator flashes twice. The Water bath mode button keeps flashing. The control panel shows the real time water temperature while the product is working.
  8. When the desired temperature is reached, the appliance beeps 5 times and then switches to keep-warm mode until the selected time has elapsed.
    Note: it takes about 20-25 minutes in bain-marie mode for the bottle to reach the desired temperature.

Note : After preparation ,the bottle should be consume within 30 min. Discard any unfinished baby bottle, and do not reheat a second time.

DEFROST MODE
The Defrost mode is used to defrost gradually the frozen breast milk until it arrives at the desired temperature (22°C-42°C). This preserves the nutrients, proteins and antibodies of breast milk.

  1. Pour water into the bottle warmer (level max).
  2. Place milk storage bag and lift-out basket into the bottle warmer.
  3. Press the ON/OFF button.
  4. Press the Defrost mode button.
  5. When the temperature indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the temperature as desired (22°C-42°C). The default temperature is 40°C.
  6. If you want to customize warming time, press again the Defrost mode button. When the time indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the working time (1 -6hours) . The default time is 2 hours.
  7. The bottle warmer will start working after the temp/time indicator flashes twice. The Defrost mode button keeps flashing. The control panel shows the real time water temperature while the product is working.
  8. The bottle warmer will beep 5 times at the end of countdown.

  • These recommendations are based on the test with the use of the BEABA portions and the default temperature at 37°C. The warming time above includes already the time needed to defrost and to reheat the milk to 37°C.

Note :
Check the instructions of your milk storage bag and make sure that it can be reheated in the bottle warmer.

STERILIZE MODE
The Sterilize mode is used to sterilize baby bottles or pacifiers,

  1. Pour 100-150ml water into the bottle warmer.
  2. Place the lift-out basket into the bottle warmer first, then put the bottle and nipple upside down into the bottle warmer.
  3. Always check that the water volume doesn’t exceed the maximum line.
  4. Put the lid on.
  5. Press the Sterilize mode button.
  6. When the time indicator flashes, press the setting button +/- to choose the working time. (5-20 mins). The default time is 10 mins.
  7. The temperature of this mode is by default 100°C and can’t be customized.
  8. The bottle warmer will start working after the time indicator flashes twice. The Sterilize mode button keeps flashing and time indicator is counting down while this function is working.
  9. The bottle warmer will beep 5 times at the end of countdown.

MAINTENANCE

  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
  • Clean the tank and surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe carefully.
  • Over time, limescale deposits may accumulate on the bottom of the tank, so it is recommended to descale the unit every four weeks as below :
  1. When the appliance is cold, pour a mixture of 100 ml of water and 50 ml of white vinegar or BEABA cleaning solution in the unit. Never use a chemical or a coffee machine de-scaler in the unit.
  2. Wait until all scale has dissolved
  3. Empty the contents of the heating unit and rinse with clear water several times
  4. Wipe it with a clean cloth.

PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS




The milk/water/food is too hot or too cold

| The heating time that we recommended is just for reference. The heating time needed is impacted by varying elements like bottle material, volume of milk/ water/food, the room temperature, etc.

•  Always check the temperature of the milk/water/ food to avoid risk of burning your child.

•  If the bottle is not hot enough, put it back in the appliance and restart the same mode to heat again until the temperature desired.

Why is the purpose of water bath mode?| It is also recommended to use water bath mode to warm breastmilk, as the gentle warming allows to preserve nutrients of the breastmilk.
How long does breast milk kept warm?| It is recommended to keep breast milk warm for no more than 30 min.


Does it automatically shut down if the water starts dry boiling?

| Yes. If water dry out, the product will shut down to prevent dry burning (you can’t turn on the bottle warmer by press the power button at this time). Please add enough water into the appliance and press the power button to restart.
How often do I need to change the water?| It is recommended to change the water daily and clean the scale every 4 weeks.
Are other brands of milk bottles suitable?| Yes, the size of our appliance is big enough for most brands of bottles on the market.
