Product Information

The product is a luminaire that requires installation and operation in accordance with national safety regulations. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation and commissioning to avoid any damage caused by improper use or installation. The manufacturer does not acceptliability for such damages. The luminaire is equipped with electronic components that are protected against overvoltage, and additional overvoltage protection components are recommended for enhanced protection. The luminaire is available in two models: 50 568.1 K27 and 50 568.1 K3. Both models have different specifications for module designation, color temperature, color rendering index, module luminous flux, luminaire luminous flux, and luminaire luminous efficiency. The connected wattage for the lamp module is 11.5 W and for the luminaire is 13.5 W. The rated temperature is 25°C and the ambient temperature should also be maintained at 25°C. LED modules are used in the luminaire, which are high-quality electronic components. During installation or relamping, it is important to avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.

To ensure a secure connection, precise positioning of the luminaire housing in relation to the mounting plate is crucial. The vertical bar inside the housing should align with the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate. Firmly press the housing against the plate and turn it clockwise until it stops. If replacement of the LED module is required, the designation of the module can be found on a label inside the luminaire. The replacement modules provided by BEGA have matching light color and output. Qualified individuals can replace the module using standard tools. Before replacing the module, disconnect the system and open the luminaire following the installation instructions for the LED module. If the glass is defective, it should be replaced before closing the luminaire.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the installation and operation of the luminaire comply with national safety regulations.
  2. If you are not a qualified electrician, hire one to perform the installation and commissioning.
  3. For enhanced protection against overvoltage, consider using separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website.
  4. Avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
  5. Precisely position the luminaire housing in relation to the mounting plate by aligning the vertical bar inside the housing with the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate.
  6. Firmly press the housing against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise until it stops.
  7. To open the luminaire, unscrew the glass from the housing by turning it counter-clockwise. Hold the housing in place to prevent it from turning on the mounting plate.
  8. If a replacement LED module is needed, locate the designation of the module on a label inside the luminaire.
  9. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire to replace the module following the installation instructions provided for the LED module.
  10. If the glass is defective, replace it before closing the luminaire.

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible forthese modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage inaccordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.

Installation

LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping Remove mounting plate from the luminaire housing. Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).

Please note:
If the luminaire is to be mounted onto a metallic, electroconductive surface, it is mandatory to make sure that the mounting surface is connected conductively to the earth conductor of the luminaire! Lead the power connecting cable through the mounting plate. Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. Establish the earth conductor connection to the luminaire housing (plug contact). Make earth conductor connection. Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make electrical connection. The two connecting terminals marked DA, DA are provided for digital control purposes. If these terminals are not assigned, the luminaire will work with full light output.

IMPORTANT

To ensure secure connection, the luminaire housing must be positioned precisely in relation to the mounting plate. Make sure that the vertical bar inside the luminaire housing is positioned precisely in the area of the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate. Press the luminaire housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise firmly against the stop.

Open luminaire:
Unscrew glass from the luminaire housing by turning it counterclockwise. To prevent the luminaire from turning on the mounting plate, hold the luminaire housing in place with one hand.

  • Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacement of the LED module
The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire. The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
