Overvoltage Protection:

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Installation and commissioning of the luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations.
  2. Ensure that the luminaire is protected against overvoltage. Additional overvoltage protection components are recommended to provide protection against transients. These components can be found on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.
  3. The connected wattage of the lamp module is 24.6 W, and the connected wattage of the luminaire is 28.4 W.
  4. The rated temperature for the luminaire is 25°C, and the ambient temperature should also be maintained at 25°C.
  5. The luminaire has two module designations: 50 146.4 K3 and 50 146.4 K4.
  6. The first module designation (50 146.4 K3) has a colour temperature of 3000 K, a colour rendering index (CRI) greater than 90, a module luminous flux of 3620 lm, a luminaire luminous flux of 2571 lm, and a luminaire luminous efficiency of 90.5 lm/W.
  7. The second module designation (50 146.4 K4) has a colour temperature of 4000 K, a colour rendering index (CRI) greater than 90, a module luminous flux of 3770 lm, a luminaire luminous flux of 2678 lm, and a luminaire luminous efficiency of 94.3 lm/W.
  8. In case of any spare part requirements, the LED power supply unit, LED module 3000 K, LED module 4000 K, and reflector can be used as replacements. The corresponding part numbers are DEV-0388/700, LED-0696/930, LED-0696/940, and 76 001 510.

Instructions for use

Application

Wall washer indoor luminaire for the glare-free illumination of wall surfaces with the mounting surface being the reflection surface. The light emits upwards and downwards.

Installation

  • LED are high-quality electronic components please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
  • Undo the screws and lift off the luminaire top.
  • Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between luminaire top and luminaire base. Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
  • Note : position of application of the luminaire “arrow down”. Fix the luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
  • Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied. Make earth conductor connection. Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make electrical connection.
  • For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA. In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
  • Make earth connection (plug connection) and LED-connection between luminaire top and luminaire base again. Install luminaire top part, adjust it and tighten screws evenly.

Cleaning  Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacing the LED module

  • The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
  • The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The replacement can be carried out by a qualified person using standard tools.
  • Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Uninstall the reflector.
  • Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Install the reflector. Defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire

Replacement of the glass

  1. Undo screws and lift off luminaire top. Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED-connection between luminaire top and luminaire base.
  2. Loosen reflector screws, separate earth connection and remove reflector.
  3. Loosen screws of the glass retaining springs and remove glass retaining springs from the luminaire top.
  4. Remove damaged glass. Insert replacement glass. Reinstall glass retaining springs and tighten screws on both sides.
  5. Insert reflector into luminaire top part, make earth connection to reflector and tighten reflector screws (0,6 Nm). Make earth connection (plug connection) and
  6. LED-connection between luminaire top and luminaire base again. Install luminaire top part, adjust it and tighten screws evenly.
