BEGA 50 539 Ceiling and Wall Luminaire

Product Information

The product is a luminaire, which is a lighting fixture. It is designed to be installed and operated in accordance with national safety regulations. The installation and commissioning of the luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer does not accept liability for any damage caused by improper use or installation. The luminaire is protected against overvoltage and additional overvoltage protection components are recommended for further protection.

The luminaire has a lamp module connected wattage of 14.8 W and a luminaire connected wattage of 17 W. The rated temperature is 25°C and the ambient temperature should not exceed 30°C.

The module designation of the luminaire is 4x LED-0884/927 with a color temperature of 2700 K. It has a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 90. The module luminous flux is 2620 lm and the luminaire luminous flux is 1980 lm. The luminaire has a luminous efficiency of 116.5 lm/W.

There is also another module designation available, which is 4x LED-0884/930 with a color temperature of 3000 K. It has the same CRI and a module luminous flux of 2660 lm. The luminaire luminous flux is 2010 lm, and the luminous efficiency is 118.2 lm/W.

Optional metal trim rings are available for this luminaire in three different surfaces. These trim rings are accessories and need to be ordered separately.

Product Usage Instructions

Ensure that the mounting surface onto which the luminaire will be installed is connected conductive to the earth conductor of the luminaire if it is mounted onto a metallic, electroconductive surface.
If the luminaire has a trim ring, insert the luminaire housing into the trim ring before installing it onto the mounting surface.
During installation or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.
Dismantle the mains supply cable before proceeding with the installation.
Fasten the luminaire housing to the mounting surface using the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines.
Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
Fix the glass to the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.

Note : If you wish to use metal trim rings, they must be ordered separately as accessories.

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection

The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com

Please note: If the luminaire is to be mounted onto a metallic, electroconductive surface, it is mandatory to make sure that the mounting surface is connected conductively to the earth conductor of the luminaire!

Luminaire with trim ring:
Before installing onto the mounting surface the luminaire housing must be inserted into the trim ring (accessory).

Installation

LED are high-quality electronic components Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Dismantle the main supply cable.
Fasten the luminaire housing with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the mounting surface.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines. Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
Fix the glass to the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.

Replacement of the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect from main supply.
Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing by turning it counter-clockwise.
Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Screw in the glass by turning it clockwise. The defective glass must be replaced.

Accessory Trim rings:
For this luminaire metal trim rings in 3 surfaces are optional available. Trim rings are accessories and must be ordered separately.
