Product Information
The product is a luminaire that requires installation and operation in accordance with national safety regulations. It is important to note that only a qualified electrician should carry out the installation and commissioning process. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation. Any modifications made to the luminaire should be done by the person responsible for those modifications.
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. However, for additional protection against transients and other factors, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components, which can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
The luminaire has a lamp module connected wattage of 8 W and a luminaire connected wattage of 9.1 W. The rated temperature is between 25 and 45 degrees Celsius. The module designation is LED-1030/830 with a color temperature of 3000 K. The color rendering index (CRI) is greater than 80. The module luminous flux is 1165 lm, while the luminaire luminous flux is 914 lm. The luminaire luminous efficiency is 100.4 lm/W.
During installation or relamping, it is important to avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly. The secure connection of the luminaire housing to the mounting plate is crucial. Ensure that the vertical bar inside the housing aligns precisely with the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate. Press the housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise against the stop. The trim ring with attached reflector should be screwed into the housing by turning it clockwise.
To replace the LED module, refer to the designation noted on a label in the
luminaire. The replacement modules from BEGA have the same light color and
light output as the original modules.
Qualified individuals can use standard tools to replace the module.
Before starting, disconnect the electrical installation, open the luminaire,
and follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Once done, close
the luminaire.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the luminaire is installed and operated according to national safety regulations.
- Only a qualified electrician should carry out the installation and commissioning process.
- Do not touch the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
- To securely connect the luminaire housing to the mounting plate:
- Position the housing precisely in relation to the mounting plate.
- Align the vertical bar inside the housing with the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate.
- Press the housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise against the stop.
- Screw the enclosed trim ring with attached reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.
- To replace the LED module:
- Refer to the designation noted on a label in the luminaire.
- Disconnect the electrical installation.
- Open the luminaire.
- Follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
- Close the luminaire once the replacement is done.

Safety
The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national
safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by
a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or
installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the
person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the
manufacturer.
Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against
overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we
recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light
output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Remove mounting plate from the luminaire housing.
Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).
Please note:
- If the luminaire is to be mounted onto a metallic, electroconductive surface, it is mandatory to make sure that the mounting surface is connected conductive to the earth conductor of the luminaire!
- Lead the power connecting cable through the mounting plate.
- Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
- Establish the earth conductor connection on the earthing screw (1) of the mounting plate. Establish the earth conductor connection to the luminaire housing (plug contact).
- Push silicone hoses over connecting wires and make the electrical connection at the terminal marked (L) and (N).
IMPORTANT:
- To ensure secure connection, the luminaire housing must be positioned precisely in relation to the mounting plate.
- Make sure that the vertical bar inside the luminaire housing is positioned precisely in the area of the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate.
- Press the luminaire housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise firmly against the stop.
- Screw enclosed trim ring with attached reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.
Cleaning · Maintenance
Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.
Replacing the LED module
- The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
- The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
- Disconnect the electrical installation.
- Open the luminaire.
- Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
- Close the luminaire.
