INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Read the instructions carefully before using your device and keep them for future use.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and over, if they are
supervised and instructed in the safe use of the appliance and are aware of
the hazards involved. Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried out by
children unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are
supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the
potential hazards.
Children should not use the appliance as a toy.
Check the power cable regularly. If the power cable is damaged, do not attempt
to repair or replace it yourself, it should be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service department or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
Caution: Avoid spillage on the connector.
Caution: There is a potential risk of injury if used incorrectly.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before plugging in the appliance, check that the supply voltage of your appliance (on the rating label) corresponds to that of your electrical installation. Your appliance must be connected to an earthed socket.

SELECTIVE COLLECTION OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC WASTE
**** Electrical products must not be disposed of with household products.
According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU for the disposal of electrical
and electronic equipment and its implementation in national law, used
electrical products must be collected separately and disposed of at the
designated collection points. Please contact your local authority or dealer
for advice on recycling.
USE
Before use :
- Please check and make sure that the lid of the grain mill is closed properly and that the discharge container and the drip tray are correctly positioned.
- Fill the water tank with clean water.
- Add at least 30 g of coffee beans to the bean container.
CAUTION: Only coffee beans may be placed in the bean container, please do not add water, ground coffee, coffee powder, caramelized coffee beans or hard objects, otherwise the grinder will be damaged.

When the waste water level is high, the waste water level warning is triggered.
Please empty the waste water tank in time. -
Maintenance container for the automatic coffee machine (9)
If you notice that the flow of coffee is slower and the taste of the coffee has changed, please service your appliance. Please refer to the section ‘Maintenance of the appliance’ in the ‘CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE’ section of this manual. -
Percolator (10)
Do not open the side door or move the coffee maker while the appliance is in operation. If the warning icon indicates that the coffee maker is not in the correct position, please remove the unit and replace it until you hear a sound. -
Coffee grounds container (13)
When the warning icon indicates that the waste coffee container is full, please empty it.
OPERATION
Control panel:
Switching on:
- Plug the power cord into the socket.
- Press the power icon ****, the machine will start to self-test, heat up and clean itself, the indicator lights (C) will light up in turn. When the indicator lights (C) go out and the 4 function icons (B) on the left are lit, the machine is ready to operate.
Caution: Do not operate the machine or open the side door during the above process.
Espresso/Long Espresso/Hot Water/Cleaning function :
Please press the icon to make an espresso, the icon to make a long espresso,
the icon to make hot water and the icon to clean the internal coffee system.
If you press the Espresso icon or Long Espresso for 2 to 4 seconds, the
machine will prepare two cups of espresso or two long espressos continuously.
During the Espresso/Long Espresso/Hot Water/Cleaning process, the user can
also press the icon of the selected function again to stop the process at any
time.
Caution: After the coffee has been brewed, the percolator automatically
returns to its initial position. You must wait until this process is complete
before you can use the coffee machine again.
Steam function for the milk frothier :
- Press the steam icon , it will flash and the indicator lights (C) will light up in turn. This means that the heating unit of the steam nozzle is heating up.
- When the indicator goes out and the steam icon remains lit, this means that the steam is ready to be used.
- Place the steam nozzle in the milk and press the steam icon to froth the milk, then press the icon again to stop the process. Caution: After using the steam function, do not touch the steam nozzle directly to avoid burns. It is important to make a short blast of steam again, in order to expel the milk remaining inside the steam nozzle, and then use a cleaning cloth to remove the milk on the surface of the steam.
- When the steam function is finished, press the hot water icon and the machine will automatically cool down to the coffee brewing temperature. The hot water and steam icons will flash alternately during this process, and the indicator lights (C) will light up in turn.
- Do not use the machine: Wait until the lights stop flashing and the 4 function icons (B) on the left are still lit. The machine is now ready to make coffee or hot water again.
CUP HEATER
For a better tasting experience, we recommend that you first place your cups
on the cup warming tray (n°3 on the general diagram).
This is even more important when the quantity of coffee is small (espresso or
ristretto).
SETTING FUNCTIONS
Setting the amount of coffee :
- Press the Espresso icon or Long Espresso for 5 seconds, the function icons light up, then the machine automatically makes coffee.
- When the amount of coffee reaches the level desired by the user, press the icon of the selected function (B) again and the machine will stop producing coffee.
- The amount of coffee produced will be stored by the machine, and the coffee machine will produce the same amount of coffee in the next cup. Remarks : The amount of espresso is between 30 and 80 ml, and the amount of long espresso between 60 and 250 ml. If the user does not press the icon of the selected function (B) again to stop coffee production, the process of setting the quantity of coffee will not be validated.
Setting the automatic shutdown:
When the machine is turned on, press the power icon ****Press the power icon
to navigate through the indicator lights (C) and select the time for the
machine to automatically switch off after : 0.5 h / 1 h / 2 h / 4 h of power
on, or select OFF to keep the machine on continuously. To confirm the setting,
you must wait 3 seconds, and the power icon will flash and turn off. As a
reminder, the machine will perform a self-cleaning process at each automatic
or manual shutdown.
Setting the amount of coffee powder:
When the machine is switched on, press the coffee powder icon for 2 seconds,
it flashes and enters the setting mode. You can press this icon to move the
indicator light (C) from left to right, to choose 1 of the 5 setting levels
from 6 to 10 g.
To validate the setting, you must wait 3 seconds and the coffee powder icon
will flash and go out.
Setting the temperature:
When the machine is switched on, press the temperature icon for 2 seconds, it
will flash and enter the setting mode. You can press this icon to move the
indicator light from left to right, to choose 1 of the 5 setting levels from
82°C to 90°C.
To validate the setting, you must wait 3 seconds, and the temperature icon
will flash and go out.
Coffee powder fineness adjustment knob:
Only adjust the fineness of the coffee powder when the grinder is running. If
the knob is turned counter-clockwise, the coffee powder will be fine and the
coffee will taste stronger.
If the knob is turned clockwise, the coffee powder will be coarse and the
coffee will have a less intense taste.
Important note: After adjusting the fineness of the coffee powder, the change
will appear at the third cup of coffee.
WARNING ICONS
: Water tank is empty – Please add water to the water tank.
: The percolator is missing or incorrectly positioned – Make sure the
percolator is in the correct position and locked.
When the percolator is locked in the central position and you cannot remove it
from the coffee machine, this icon lights up. You must then press the cleaning
icon for 3 seconds. The percolator will automatically return to its original
position and you can remove it for cleaning. Once the percolator has been
replaced correctly, the machine will work again.
Caution: Do not use the machine when the percolator is returning to its
initial position.
: The icon remains lit, this means that the coffee grounds container or the
waste water container is missing or incorrectly positioned – Make sure that
these 2 elements are present and installed in the right position.
: The icon flashes, this means that the coffee grounds container is full –
Empty the container.
: Side door open – Please close it. If the door does not close completely, the
percolator may not be correctly positioned.
When the door opens, the machine locks and the coffee powder icon flashes.
When closing the door, you must then press the coffee powder icon to restart
the machine.
The «pen side door» icons and «coffee powder» flash at the same time. To
restart the machine: please close the side door to deactivate the « door open
» warning, then press the coffee powder icon to deactivate the flashing.
: Blocked internal pipe – Please switch off the coffee machine and make sure
the water tank is full, then switch on the machine again.
: The icon flashes: coffee beans are missing – please add coffee beans to the
bean container.
When the icons and flash at the same time. Check that the water tank is
correctly positioned and that there is enough water in it. Then press the hot
water icon to release the hot water from the steam nozzle. The warning
disappears and the machine is operational again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug your coffee maker before cleaning it. Wait for it to cool down
completely before cleaning.
Never use abrasive products to clean the coffee maker.
If the coffee machine is not used for some time, be sure to empty and clean
it.
Maintenance of the Percolator:
Open the side door, take out the coffee grounds container (no. 13 in the
general diagram) and the percolator drip tray (no. 12 in the general diagram).
See picture below.
Hold the handle of the percolator, press the tab of the funnel with your thumb and, using the handle, remove the percolator (see picture below).
To put the percolator back on, follow the above instructions in reverse order.
If you hear a click, the percolator has been put back on successfully. Then
replace the coffee grounds container (12) and close the side door.
It is advisable to clean the percolator approximately every 2 weeks with clean
water.
MAINTENANCE OF THE APPLIANCE
To ensure that your coffee retains the highest possible quality, regular
maintenance of your machine is important.
For daily use in the home, it is advisable to service your machine every 1 to
3 months (or after 200 coffees).
To do this, lift the lid of the bean container (no. 1 in the general diagram).
Then remove the transparent cover of the maintenance product compartment (n°9
on the general diagram) and insert a specific maintenance tablet (or gel) for
automatic coffee machines.
Then start two consecutive cleaning cycles by pressing the button.
DESCALING
Caution: before descaling, please place a container under the steam and coffee
nozzles to collect the dirty descaling water.
Automatic descaling:
After using 20 liters of water, the machine will automatically remind you that
descaling is necessary, all the setting icons (D) will be lit and the long
espresso icon will blink.
Please press the long espresso icon , the machine will start and end the
descaling process automatically. However, if you wish, there is also a manual
mode.
Manual descaling:
Depending on the quality of the water used, especially if the water hardness
is high, manual descaling may be necessary in addition to automatic descaling.
- When the coffee machine is switched on, add the decalcifying liquid to the water tank, then press the Espresso and Long Espresso for 5 seconds to start the descaling process.
- The indicator lights (C) light up alternately and all the setting icons (D) light up. Every 3 minutes, the machine pumps water from the coffee spout for 10 seconds and from the steam nozzle for 5 seconds. The machine makes 9 revolutions to remove the scale inside the machine.
- After the above process, all function icons (B), indicator lights (C) and setting icons (D) will light up, indicating that it is necessary to change the water in the tank.
- After pouring fresh water into the tank, press the Long Espresso icon , then the machine will pump out 300 ml of clean water, in order to clean the internal descaling water, and will automatically finish the descaling process.
SWITCHING OFF
Press the power icon ****, the machine switches off and goes into standby mode
after a self-cleaning process.
RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS
To return to the original temperature and coffee quantity settings, please
follow the instructions below.
When the coffee machine is switched on, press the long espresso icon and the
cleaning icon for 5 seconds, the indicator lights (C) will light up in turn.
Wait until the indicator lights go out and the first 4 function icons (B)
light up. The factory reset is complete and the machine is ready for use.
