PoEWit IP-1 Dry Contact Voltage Trigger
Product Description
- The IP-1 has (4) independent Input channels and (2) independent Output channels:
- Inputs: (2) Dry Contact Closures and (2) Voltage Triggers with automatic sensing range of 5V-24V
- Outputs: (2) Voltage Triggers with app-selectable output voltage of 5V-24V
- When an IP-1 Input is placed into a Lighting Group within the PoEWit app, it will turn on all lights in that Lighting Group with a user-defined duration, intensity, display (steady vs. flashing), and color (if the lighting is color capable).
- Dry Contact Closure Inputs: Lights trigger when a normally open or normally closed state is reversed. Normally-open or closed state is user-defined in the PoEWit app.
- Voltage Trigger Inputs: Lights trigger when voltage is present. Voltage Trigger Inputs will automatically sense voltage between 5V to 24V.
- The IP-1’s Voltage Outputs can trigger PoEWit lights in a Lighting Group as well as any third-party devices that accept a voltage trigger input.
- When an IP-1 Voltage Output is placed into a Lighting Group in the PoEWit app, it will turn on all lights in that Lighting Group when triggered by any of the IP-1’s (4) independent Input channels (i.e. (2) Dry Contact Closures and (2) Voltage Triggers). This trigger happens regardless of whether wires are physically connected to the IP-1’s Screw Terminal Breakout Adapter.
- The IP-1’s Voltage Outputs can be used to trigger any third-party devices that accept a voltage trigger. Use the Screw Terminal Breakout Adapter to connect to the third-party device. Output voltage is user-defined in the PoEWit app and can be set from 5V to 24V.

Input/Output Specifications
- Physical Input: PoE 802.3af, Type 1 (15.4W) minimum
- Physical Output: RJ45 connector with 8-Pin Screw Terminal Breakout Adapter
Installation & Wiring
- Select a proper mounting location near the trigger input and output devices.
- Connect the triggering input and output devices to the 8-Pin Screw Terminal Breakout Adapter. Ground can be shared among the triggering devices.
- Run a PoE-enabled Ethernet cable (Cat 5/6/7) from a PoE Ethernet switch to the PoE-In port on the IP-1. PoE-In / RJ45 LED will appear as follows:
- Green : Receiving PoE power
- Amber : Local network activity
NOTE : Cloud connectivity is required for initial device configuration.

Configuration
On a network with a DHCP server and Internet access, the IP-1 will automatically connect to the Internet when it begins receiving power. The PoEWit System LED will illuminate red upon initial start-up. It will then display white, green, and finally blue when cloud connectivity is available.
-
Download the PoEWit app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
NOTE : The IP-1 and the mobile device running the PoEWit app must be on the same external IP address and the same local subnet. -
Open the PoEWit app and Create or Select the correct Home. Then, assign each IP-1 channel to a Lighting Group.
