SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before using this electrical appliance, read the instructions below carefully and keep the user manual for future reference:

  1. This appliance is intended solely for domestic use. Any other (professional) use is excluded.
  2. Before plugging the device into a wall outlet, verify that the electrical current supplied by the mains matches the supply specified on the device’s nameplate. Always plug your appliance into an earthed wall socket.
  3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  4. Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet as soon as you have finished using the device and before cleaning, maintaining or assembling accessories.
  5. Do not place the motor unit, the power cable or the plug in water or any other liquid.
  6. Handle the blades with caution as they are very sharp and could injure you.
  7. Handle the blades with caution, especially when you remove them from the bowl, when you empty the bowl, and during cleaning.
  8. Never handle the blade of the hand blender when it is plugged into an electrical outlet.
  9. Never handle the whisk when your device is plugged into an electrical outlet.
  10. This appliance must be used and placed on a flat surface. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use.
  11. Prior to first use, clean all the accessories with warm soapy water. Rinse them and dry them thoroughly.
  12. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
  13. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.
  14. Do not use your device for more than 30 seconds continuously in hand blender mode or more than 30 seconds continuously in chopping mode or more than 1 minute continuously in whisking mode.
  15. The appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  16. Electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of separately. Do not dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment with unsorted household waste; please take it to a separate collection center.
  17. Cleaning information for surfaces in contact with food is provided in the «CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE» section.
  18. Operating times and speed settings for accessories are provided in the ‘USE’ paragraph.
  19. WARNING: improper use of the appliance could pose a risk and cause injuries.
  20. Please be extra vigilant if hot water is poured into the blending jug/container as the contents may suddenly boil over during use and be expelled from the appliance.
  21. The appliance has been designed for domestic and similar applications, such as:
    • kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices or other working environments;
    • farms;
    • by guests in hotels, motels, and other residential environments;
    • environments akin to B&Bs.
  22. Children shall not play with appliances.

USE

This product is intended for:

  • Blending sauces, preparing soups, fruit juices, cocktails, milkshakes, etc.
  • Chopping meat, fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, etc.
  • Whisking egg whites or making whipped cream.

Prior to first use, clean all the accessories with warm soapy water. Rinse them and dry them thoroughly. Clean the motor unit (1) with a dry or slightly damp cloth and then dry.

USING YOUR HAND BLENDER
  1. Assemble the blender foot (4) on the motor unit (1) and turn it until it is locked.
  2. Plug in the appliance. To avoid splashes, immerse the blender in the food before turning on the appliance. Do not immerse the blender in the ingredients higher than the metal part.
  3. Move the blender in the ingredients with up and down movements.
  4. To use the maximum speed, press the turbo button (13).
  5. Release the on/off button (3) or the turbo button (13) before removing the blender from the mixture.

Do not use the device continuously for more than 30 seconds. After 30 seconds of continuous use, turn off the device and let it cool for 1 minute.

USING YOUR CHOPPER
  1. Insert the blade (7) into the chopper bowl (8).
  2. Put the ingredients to be chopped into the bowl.
  3. Place the adapter (9) onto the chopper bowl (8).
  4. Position the motor unit (1) on the adaptor (9) and turn until it locks into position.
  5. Plug in the appliance. Hold the adapter on the bowl with one hand and press the on/off button with the other hand.
  6. To use the maximum speed, press the turbo button (13).
  7. Wait until the blade has stopped before disassembling the device.

Do not use the device continuously for more than 30 seconds. After 30 seconds of continuous use, turn off the device and let it cool for 1 minute.

USING YOUR WHISK
  1. Insert the whisk (10) into its base (11).
  2. Assemble the whisk (10) and its base (11) on the motor unit (1) and turn them until they are locked.
  3. Plug in the appliance. To avoid splashes, immerse the whisk (10) in the ingredients before turning on the appliance. Do not immerse the whisk (10) in the ingredients higher than the metal part.
  4. Whisk the mix by conducting circular movements.
  5. To use the maximum speed, press the turbo button (13).
  6. Release the on/off button (3) or the turbo button (13) before removing the whisk from the mixture.

Do not use the device continuously for more than 1 minute in this configuration. After 1 minute of continuous use, turn off the device and let it cool for 1 minute.

Warning:
Never mix hot oil, fats, frozen products, big pieces of meat, or ingredients that are too hard. If the appliance heats up, stop using it for a few minutes to let it cool down. If the device freezes, turn it off and unplug it before any cleaning operation.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

After use, clean all the accessories with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. Clean the motor unit (1) with a dry or slightly damp cloth and then dry. Do not use a stripping product, scourer, or abrasive pad. Disassemble the detachable accessories for easy cleaning.

GUARANTEES

Guarantees and limitations of liability
Products are guaranteed for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase, or from the date of delivery to the customer’s home. Depending on the country, this guarantee consists of 24 to 36 months of validity for the legal compliance guarantee.

For countries that only implement a 24-month legal compliance guarantee, a 12-month commercial guarantee is applied at the end of the first guarantee, and supplements it.

For the legal compliance guarantee
Please consult your retailer for information and/or to refer to their GTCs (General Terms and Conditions of Sale).

For the commercial guarantee
Please go to the reception desk at your place of purchase with your proof of purchase (e.g. sales receipt), the product and the accessories it came with, and its original packaging, for all countries other than France. It is important to have the date of purchase, the model and the serial number or IMEI number to hand (this information is usually indicated on the product, packaging, or on your proof of purchase). You’ll need to bring back the product with the accessories needed for its correct functioning (power supply, adapter, etc.). If your claim is covered by the guarantee, the after-sales service may, within the limits of local law, either:

  • Repair or replace faulty parts.
  • Exchange the returned product with a product that has, at the least, the same features and that offers equivalent performances.
  • Refund the product at the price stated on the proof of purchase.

Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or reconditioned hardware and components.

Commercial guarantee exclusions:

  • Damages or problems caused by improper use, accident, tampering/modification or an unsuitable current or voltage connection.
  • Use or storage conditions which are detrimental to the good conservation of the appliance (oxidation, corrosion), use of energy, use or installation non-compliant with the manufacturer’s instructions, or negligence or use of peripherals, software or consumables that are unsuitable.
  • Professional or collective, industrial or commercial use of the product.
  • Products that have been modified, or which have damaged, altered, erased or oxidised guarantee seals or serial numbers.
  • Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for 6 months.
  • Battery failure is caused by overcharging or by failure to follow the safety instructions set out in the manual.
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, bumps or vandalism.
  • Damage caused by any servicing operations carried out by non-authorized persons.
  • Faults caused by normal wear and tear or the normal aging of the product: seals, filters, accessories, vacuum cleaner brush and hose, lamps, overhead projector lamps, washing machine paddles, etc.
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings.
  • Damage caused by elements external to the appliance (foreign bodies, insects, etc.).
  • The contents of the devices – freezer, washing machine, etc. (food, clothing, etc.)
  • Product failure is caused by the use of third-party software to modify, change, adapt, or alter the product as is.
  • Product failure resulting from its use without the accessories supplied with the product or approved by the Manufacturer.
  • Parts for normal wear and tear or damage from use: tire, inner tube, brake, etc.

The customer is responsible for regularly backing up the data contained on their hard disk or in the internal memory of their device, and this is before any claim is submitted. Auchan cannot be held liable for the loss or destruction of stored data, nor may it be held liable for damage caused to software resulting from, in particular, a restoration or a breakdown. Similarly, Auchan is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from returned products. Under no circumstances shall the provisions set out above reduce or eliminate: the legal guarantee referred to above, and the manufacturer’s commercial guarantee, if applicable (see guarantee form).
