OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

USING THE DEEP FRYER

  1. Make sure that the ON/OFF switch (2) is set to the off position “O” and the arrow on THERMOSTAT dial (1) is pointing to the off position “0”.

  2. Press the LID OPEN button (5) and lift up the lid. Press the button on the frying basket (6) handle to extend the handle when cooking or fold away the handle after cooking. Remove the frying basket (6).

  3. Pour the appropriate amount of oil into the oil tank (10) and close the lid (7).

  4. Note: The oil in the tank must not be lower than the minimum line or higher than the maximum line.

  5. Plug the appliance into the main socket. The red HEATING and green TEMPERATURE indicator lights (3/4) will turn on.

  6. Note: If the green TEMPERATURE indicator light (4) does not turn on, the oil tank (10) is incorrectly positioned in the base (11). Check and adjust until the light turns on.

  7. Press the ON/OFF switch (2) to the on position “I”. Turn the THERMOSTAT dial (1) clockwise to the desired cooking temperature (0°C to 190°C). The green TEMPERATURE indicator light (4) will turn off to show the appliance is heating the oil. Wait 10 to 15 minutes until the appliance has reached the set temperature. The green TEMPERATURE indicator light (4) will turn on when the set temperature has been reached.

  8. Press the LID OPEN button (5) and lift up the lid. Place the food items into the frying basket (6). Slowly lower the frying basket (6) into the oil. Shut the lid (7) (until it clicks into place) to prevent oil splashes. Look through the window (8) to check the cooking status of the food.
    Note

  9. (1) During the cooking process, the green TEMPERATURE indicator light (4) may turn on and off several times. This indicates that the appliance is turning the heating plate on and off in order to maintain the cooking temperature at the selected level.

  10. (2) The appliance may emit a large amount of steam at the beginning of the cooking process. This is due to the water content of the food and water on the surface of the food. Careful, the steam may escape from the gap between the lid and the oil tank.

  11. Once the food is cooked, open the lid carefully. Lift up the frying basket and fix it onto the front lip of the oil tank in the oil draining position. To further remove oil from the food, tip the ingredients onto absorbent towel (kitchen towel).

  12. After cooking, turn the THERMOSTAT dial (1) to the off position “0” and press the ON/OFF button (2) to the off position “O”. Keep the lid (7) up and place the frying basket (6) in the oil draining position. Unplug the appliance and wait for 2-3 hours for it to cool down.

  14. Note: The appliance does not have a dry burn protection function. Never let the oil go below the minimum mark otherwise you will damage it.
