SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before using this appliance, please carefully read the following instructions and keep the user manual for future use:

  1.  This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  2.  Before connecting the unit to a wall outlet, ensure that the local electric current corresponds to that specified on the plate on the unit. Always plug your device into an earthed unit.
  3.  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  4.  Do not leave the appliance when plugged in. Unplug it from the outlet when not in use and before servicing.
  5.  Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  6.  The appliance should not be used as a toy. Supervision is necessary when using it near children.
  7.  Do not use with a damaged cord or plug. If the appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
  8.  Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  9.  Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  10.  Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
  11.  Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, or other materials that may reduce airflow.
  12.  Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  13.  Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  14.  Do not use without having dust bag and/or filter in place.
  15.  Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  16.  Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
  17.  Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline. Do not use in areas where such liquids may be present.
  18.  Do not use if any electrical wire is damaged, cut, or punctured. Avoid picking up sharp objects.
  19.  Turn off the appliance before connecting or disconnecting hose or power attachments.
  20.  Hold plug when rewinding onto cord reel. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding.
  21.  Unplug before connecting non-electrical mechanical accessories.
  22.  Regarding the information pertaining to the installation and user maintenance, please refer to the paragraph below of the manual.
  23.  Defective electrical appliances must be recycled, not disposed of with household waste. Help us to actively engage in our actions to conserve resources and protect the environment by placing this appliance in a collection centre or drop-off centre.
  24.  Do not use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum any water, liquid, or damp dirt. Only use the appliance for dry vacuuming.
  25.  DANGER OF FIRE OR ELECTROCUTION! After cleaning the filters, allow the filters to air dry completely before reattaching them to the vacuum cleaner to prevent liquid from being suctioned into the electric parts.
  26.  WARNING! If the suction hose, telescopic tube, floor brush or cleaning tool is blocked, turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet immediately. Clear the blockage before plugging the vacuum cleaner again (see CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE).
  27.  DANGER OF FIRE OR ELECTROCUTION! This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts inside.
  28. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the appliance (or motor) yourself. Contact an authorized service centre for examination or repair.

ASSEMBLY / DISASSEMBLY

WARNING: Before assembling or disassembling any accessory or part of the vacuum cleaner, make sure that the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power supply.

Attaching the suction hose

Align and push the neck of the suction hose (11) into the hose receptacle (2) on the vacuum cleaner. Turn the neck clockwise until it locks into place (Fig. 1A).

Removing the suction hose

To remove the suction hose (11), turn the neck of the hose counterclockwise to unlock and remove it from the vacuum cleaner (Fig. 1B).

OPERATION

BEFORE PLUGGING THE VACUUM CLEANER

SELECTING A CLEANING TOOL Choose a cleaning tool for your cleaning task.

  •  Floor brush: To clean carpets or hard floors.
  •  Round brush: To clean hard furniture surfaces, corners of ceilings or blinds.
  •  Crevice nozzle: To clean skirting boards, corners and tight areas.
  •  Upholstery tool: To clean sofas, cushions, chairs.

ATTACHING / REMOVING A CLEANING TOOL

Attaching a cleaning tool

  •  The cleaning tools (16, 18, 19 and 20) can be attached to the end of the telescopic tube (14) (Fig. 2A, 3A), or the handle of the suction hose (13) (Fig. 2B).
  •  Simply align the cleaning tool of your choice with the connecting part and push firmly until it locks into place.

Removing a cleaning tool

To remove a cleaning tool (16, 18, 19 and 20), hold the neck of the tool and pull it out.

USING THE TELESCOPIC TUBE

Attaching the telescopic tube

Connect the telescopic tube to clean floors or for extra reach:

Insert the handle of the suction hose (13) into the upper end of the telescopic tube (14) and push the handle firmly until it locks into place (Fig. 2A).
Insert the lower end of the telescopic tube (14) into the cleaning tool (16, 18, 19 or 20) and push the tube firmly until it locks into place (Fig. 3A).

Accessories holder

The accessories holder (21) can be clipped onto the telescopic tube (14) to keep cleaning tools handy during cleaning (Fig. 3B).

Adjusting the telescopic tube
The telescopic tube (14) has an inner and outer tube.

  •  Slide the Telescopic tube release button (15) in the direction of the arrow marked on the button and hold it while you adjust the telescopic tube to the desired length (Fig. 4).
  • Release the button to lock the tubes into place.

WARNING: Make sure that the dust bag and filters are properly installed in place before using the vacuum cleaner.

PLUGGING, UNPLUGGING, TURNING ON/OFF

Plugging

  • Pull the power cord to the desired length (Fig. 5).
  • Then insert the plug firmly into a power outlet of matching voltage.

CAUTION: Do not pull the cord further than the red mark to avoid damage.

Turning on

Press the Power button (10) gently with your foot to turn the vacuum cleaner on (Fig. 6).

Turning off, unplugging and rewinding the cord Once finished using the appliance:

  2.  Remove the plug from the power outlet.
  3.  Hold the plug and press the Cord rewind button (5) gently with your foot to rewind the cord automatically. Guide the cord with your hand to prevent the plug and cord to whip when rewinding.

GENERAL OPERATION

Floor brush
The brushes of the floor brush (16) can be adjusted according to the floor type to be cleaned (Fig. 7).

  • Press on the Floor brush switch (17) to extract the brushes when cleaning hard floors that are not susceptible to scratching.
  •  Press on the Floor brush switch (17) to retract the brushes when cleaning carpets, rugs or hard surfaces.

Suction power selector

  • To adjust the suction power, slide the Suction power selector (4) left/right to the desired level (Fig. 8).
    •  Minimum: For delicate materials, curtains.
    •  Medium: For furniture, rugs and mattresses.
    •  Maximum: For tiles, wooden or other hard floors.

Extra suction power switch

  •  When it is difficult to move the floor brush (16) over the floor, you can also adjust the suction power with the Extra suction power switch (12) on the handle of the suction hose (Fig. 9). Slide the button up/down to adjust. 10 Parking the telescopic tube with the floor brush There are two slots for parking. One located on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner and the other on the back. This feature allows you to park the telescopic tube (14) with the floor brush (16) in one of the parking positions during pauses or storage.
  • Press the Telescopic tube release button (15) to retract the tube before parking.
  • Horizontal parking position – Slide the tab on the neck of the floor brush (16) into the parking slot on the back of the vacuum cleaner as illustrated (Fig. 10).
  • Vertical parking position – Stand the vacuum cleaner upright and slide the tab on the neck of the floor brush (16) into the parking slot on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner as illustrated (Fig. 10).

OVERHEAT PROTECTION EN
If the vacuum cleaner is inadvertently used for more than 10 minutes after the “Dust bag full” indicator has turned red, the vacuum cleaner will switch off automatically to prevent overheating. In this event, turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet immediately and allow the appliance to cool down for 30 minutes. Check for blockages (→ CLEARING A BLOCKAGE). The safety device will automatically reset when the vacuum cleaner is turned on again.

CLEANING AND CARE

WARNING: Before cleaning or maintenance, unplug the appliance from the power socket.To avoid electric shock or injury, never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any liquids. Do not rinse them under the tap.

  • IMPORTANT: Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp objects, or scouring pads to clean the appliance.

  •  Wipe the vacuum cleaner with a soft, dry cloth.

  • Regularly check the vacuum cleaner and accessories for damage or blockages (→ CLEARING A BLOCKAGE). Remove any debris (dust, hair, lint, foreign objects, etc.) that may accumulate over time to maintain the optimum performance of your appliance.

  • Empty or replace the dust bag when the “Dust bag full” indicator (3) turns red. (→ DUSTBAG).

  • Check the motor filter (23) regularly. Check the HEPA filter (25) occasionally. Clean and replace the filters as recommended (→ MOTOR FILTER, HEPA FILTER).

  • The filters are not dishwasher safe. Do not use a hairdryer to dry the filters.
    WARNING:

  • Never use the vacuum cleaner without the dust bag and filters as this may damage the appliance.

  • Torn or not properly sealing filters may damage the motor. When a filter is defective, it must be replaced with a new original one.

DUST BAG

“DUST BAG FULL” INDICATOR
When the “Dust bag full” indicator (3) turns red, the dust bag (22) needs to be emptied or replaced with a new one. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner immediately.
If, after just replacing the dust bag (22), the “Dust bag full” indicator (3) is still red during vacuuming, there might be a blockage that needs to be cleared, or the motor filter (23) and/or HEPA filter (25) is dusty and needs to be cleaned or replaced.

REPLACING THE DUST BAG
Empty or replace the dust bag when the “Dust bag full” indicator (3) turns red, or when it is half-full but there is a loss in suction power.

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2.  Press the Front cover release button (7) to open the cover.
  3.  Hold the collar of the dust bag and gently slide it upwards to remove it from the holding frame (Fig. 11).
  4. Gently slide a new dust bag into the holding frame and close the front cover. Do not unfold the new dust bag. Keep it in its original folded state for easy installation and closing of the cover (Fig. 12).

MOTOR FILTER
The motor filter should be replaced after every 5 dust bags. In between, the filter can be cleaned.

Cleaning or replacing the motor filter

  1.  Cleaning or replacing the motor filter

  2.  Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.

  3.  To access the motor filter, press the Front cover release button (7) to open the cover.

  4.  Remove the dust bag.

  5.  Slide the filter holder (24) upwards to remove it (Fig. 13).

    •  Detach the motor filter (23) from the filter holder (24) and rinse them under the tap with lukewarm water (Fig. 16). Allow to air dry for 24 hours (Fig. 17) before
      inserting them back into the vacuum cleaner.

    •  Or, remove the motor filter (23) from the filter holder (24) and discard it. Attach a new motor filter to the filter holder (24), and insert them back into the vacuum
      cleaner.

HEPA FILTER EN
The HEPA filter (25) filters the air once more before the air exits the vacuum cleaner. Clean the HEPA filter at least once every 6 months or when it is very dusty. When the
The HEPA filter is damaged, it must be replaced with a new original one.

Cleaning or replacing the HEPA filter

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Press the Air outlet grille release button (6) to open the grille (Fig. 14).
  3. Remove the HEPA filter (Fig. 15).
  4. Rinse the HEPA filter under the tap with lukewarm water (Fig. 16). 24h
  5. Allow the HEPA filter (motor filter, filter holder) to air dry for 24 hours (Fig. 17).
  6.  Ensure the HEPA filter (motor filter, filter holder) is fully dry, then insert the HEPA filter back into the vacuum cleaner and close the air outlet grille (9).

CLEARING A BLOCKAGE
When the vacuum cleaner detects a slowdown in suction power, the “Dust bag full” indicator (3) will turn red. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner immediately.

  1.  Check whether the dust bag (22) is full or misplaced.
  2.  If the dust bag is not full, check whether the motor filter (23) and HEPA filter (25) need cleaning or replacement.
  3.  Check for blockages. Remove the suction hose (11) from the vacuum cleaner, and detach the telescopic tube (14) and cleaning tool (16, 18, 19 or 20). Carefully check
    inside the hose receptacle (2), suction hose (11), telescopic tube (14), and cleaning tool individually for any obstruction and remove it.

GUARANTEES AND LIMITATIONS OF

LIABILITY
This product is guaranteed for a period of 36 months (including the legal guarantee of 24 months as defined by local law as well as a commercial guarantee of 12 additional months offered by the brand) from the date of purchase, against any failure resulting from a manufacturing or material defect. This guarantee does not cover damage resulting from a faulty installation, incorrect use, or normal wear and tear.More specifically, the guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage or problems caused by incorrect use, accidents, modifications or an electrical connection with the wrong current or voltage.
  • Products that have been modified or whose tamper evident seal or serial number has been damaged, altered, removed or rusted.
  • Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for 6 months.
  • Battery failure, as a result of over-charging or non-compliance with the safety instructions set out in the manual
  •  Cosmetic damage, including scratches, bumps and any other element.
  • Damage caused by any servicing operations carried out by non-authorised persons.
  • Faults caused by normal wear and tear or the normal ageing of the product
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings
  • Product failure resulting from the use of third party software to modify, change or adapt the product as supplied
  • Product failure resulting from its use without manufacturer-approved accessories

Rusted products
The manufacturer is not liable for the loss of data stored on the hard drive. Similarly, the manufacturer is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from
returned products. Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or repackaged hardware and components.

IMPLEMENTATION METHODS EN
To make a claim under the guarantee, please return your product to the reception desk of your local sales outlet with the proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, etc.) of the product and accessories supplied, along with the original packaging. The following information will be required: date of purchase, model and serial or IMEI number (this information generally features on the product, the packaging or proof of purchase). Failing this, you must return the product with all accessories needed for it to work properly (power cable, adapter, etc.). If your product is covered by the guarantee, the after- sales service will (within the bounds of the local legislation):

  • Repair or replace the faulty parts
  • Exchange the returned product with a product that has the same features or better and is equivalent in terms of performance.
  • Refund the product at the price stated on the proof of purchase. In the case of a repair covered by the guarantee, your guarantee period will be extended by 6 months. This period cannot be combined in the event of repeated failures.
