MODEL PRICES

Note: Vehicles are homologous in accordance with the new type approval procedure WLTP (Regulation (EU) 2017/1151; Regulation (EC) 715/2007). From the 1st January 2021 CO2 figures shown are derived solely from the WLTP test.

ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY

Which electric engines is right for you?

| HYBRID (FHEV)
Hybrid vehicles have two sources of power.
They can automatically switch between conventional mode, pure electric mode (for short distances) or use both to power the vehicle as needed.
Kuga FHEV has a battery capacity of 1.1kW which allows short term electric propulsion, a great combination between power and fuel efficiency, whilst reducing the CO2 footprint compared to a conventional engine.

| PLUG-IN HYBRID (PHEV)
Plug In. Charge up. Improves Efficiency versus a conventional, mild hybrid or hybrid engine.
Plug-in Hybrids have the two sources of power like a hybrid, but with a larger high voltage battery, enabling you to drive longer distances on all-electric power.
Kuga PHEV has a battery size of 14.4 kWh which gives a maximum EV range of 56 km. This results in a combined average fuel economy up to 1.0l per 100km and only 22 g/km CO2**.

Charging the battery

HYBRID

****There’s no need to plug in your vehicle for charging.
Hybrid vehicles are able to recharge the battery in two ways:

1. Regenerative braking
2. Conventional engine

The conventional engine powers the generator which transforms mechanical energy into electrical energy to charge the battery.
PLUG-IN HYBRID

The larger battery in Plug-in Hybrids can be plugged in to charge. Once the battery is depleted, the vehicle behaves like a conventional hybrid with the engine running when required.
All four electric vehicle types use regenerative braking to charge the battery. While braking, the motor is still spinning even though the car is trying to slow down.

Regenerative braking captures this typically wasted energy to create electricity, which charges the battery.

Plug in charging options

230V Wall outlet
Plug-in Hybrids and All-Electric vehicles can be charged on a 230V outlet (16A), which is the standard electrical socket in most UK households. This takes approximately 6 hours to charge the battery.

Ford Connected Wall Box Charger
If want to make recharging your Kuga Plug-In Hybrid at home as fast as possible, you’ll need to install a wall box. Sim ply talk to your Ford Dealer, who will work with our installation partner, Bard Gais. Once installed, you can fully recharge your Kuga from zero to full in 3-3.5 hours.

FUEL CONSUMPTION

The test used to establish fuel consumption and CO2 figures has changed to deliver results that are more representative of real driving. The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) has replaced the old NEDC test. The Fuel Consumption and CO2 figures shown are derived from the new WLTP test.
This will produce more accurate figures which most likely will be greater than those arrived at using the NEDC test. Please be mindful of this in making comparisons between vehicles where some manufacturers may still display the old NEDC figures. It should be noted that vehicle registration tax (VRT) and where applicable motor tax is now based on these WLTP figures from 1st January 2021. Understanding fuel data; The table below shows the fuel consumption (WLTP) and CO2 emissions (WLTP) for each available engine when fitted on a standard specification Kuga (with no options or accessories). Adding options or accessories to your chosen vehicle can Impact WLTP fuels consumption and CO2 emissions. Please speak to your Ford Dealer for more information.

øø The declared Fuel/Energy Consumption’s, CO2-Emissions and Electric range are determined according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EU) 2017/1151 as last amended. Light Duty Vehicles type-approved using the World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) have Fuel/Energy Consumption and CO2-Emission information for both New European Drive Cycle (NEDC) and WLTP. WLTP is a new, more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and has fully replaced NEDC in 2020. The applied standard test procedure enables comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers. In addition to the fuel efficiency of a car, driving behaviour as well as other non-technical factors play a role in determining a car’s fuel/energy consumption, CO2 emissions and electric range. CO2 is the main greenhouse gas responsible for global warming. A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contain data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge or can be downloaded under www.seai.ie.

VRT Category A (EU Classification M1)
Most cars fit into category A and minibuses carrying no more than 8 passengers and driver. VRT is charges based on the CO2 emissions of the vehicle when it was manufactured. The VRT rates are as follows:

Nitrogen Oxide (NOx)
Emission Levy

NOTE: The NOx levy will be applied to all VRT category A vehicles (passenger and SUVs). The new charges being introduced will mean an increase in VRT for older imported cars and these charges will be based on a NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) sliding scale on passenger cars.
This new tax will replace the 1% VRT Levy on diesel cars which was introduced last year and the NOx tax will apply to all new or imported cars from January 1st, 2020.

OTHER PRICING CONSIDERATIONS

Customer Order Price Protection
Ford’s Price Protection Plan means that the price you pay is the same as the price on your order as long as you are prepared to accept delivery within three months, and in any event, as soon as your vehicle is available. Your Dealer has full details of the plan. Henry Ford & Son Limited is not liable for changes in price caused by Government changes in tax rates or changes in other applicable legislation.
VAT
VAT is shown calculated at 23%. The total price of a vehicle, including factory fitted options and accessories fitted by the Ford Dealer, will be subject to VAT on retail sale.
Price Changes
This price list outlines Ford’s Gross Retail Prices (GRP), please contact your Ford dealer for final sale prices.
This price list is effective from 4th December 2021 and supersedes all previous price lists. The recommended prices in the publication were true and accurate at the time of printing. You should, however, check details with your Dealer as there may have been changes to Ford’s recommended prices in view of Ford’s policy of continuous development. Ford reserves its right to change it’s recommended prices at anytime. Change to government legislation or tax changes could result in a change to Ford’s published recommended prices.
