FAQ

Q: What is the maximum primary current supported by Tywatt 5600?

A: The maximum primary current supported is 70A.

Q: How can I check if the power supply is working correctly?

A: Look for a solid green light on the device, indicating that the power supply is OK.

Q: Can I use Tywatt 5600 with meters equipped with OMS technology?

A: Yes, Tywatt 5600 is compatible with Diehl Metering and Engelmann meters equipped with OMS technology.

Smart electricity, water and energy (OMS) consumption sensor

The smart sensor, installed in the electrical panel, enables the measurement of consumption and its recording in a history from the Tydom application. The Tywatt 5600 extracts the electricity consumption and water and energy consumption levels from Diehl Metering and Engelmann meters equipped with OMS technology.

Recommendations

  • Device intended for single-phase installations
  • Mounted on a DIN rail in the electrical cabinet
  • 16A max. circuit breaker required.
  • Positi on this product as far away as possible from other units that generate strong electrical interference.

Prerequisites

  • A smart home hub connected to the Internet router.
  • The Tydom application (available in Play Store and Apple Store).

If you do not have access to Internet, you can set up your Tywatt with the Tydom application using a Wi-Fi router (An Internet connection is required to view the consumption levels that will be available wit-hin a period of 1 to 2 hours after commissioning, provided home consumption setup is in place).

Connection

Switch off the installation power supply.

Connection instructions for the terminals

  • Strip the wires while respecti ng the strip length specifi ed on the product.
  • Push the wire fully into the terminal.

Removal recommendations

  • Switch off the power supply.
  • Use a screwdriver to press the button of the terminal before removing the wire.

Connection

LED alert

  • Solid green: Power supply OK.
  • Flashing red:
Customer Information System (CIS) connection fault
Ability to connect 3 TIs in parallel at inputs 3 and 6, in order to facilitate the routi ng of various measurement cables (single accumulati on display of the 3 TIs available in the Tydom applicati on).

Connection of the open loop current transformer (Ti)

Connection of the secondary:

  • Connect the blue wire of the Ti to terminal 3 and the white wire to the terminal 6 of the Tywatt. Connection of the primary:
  • Open the current transformer casing.
  • Insert the substation’s phase conductor or conductors in keeping with the direction of circulation of the current from source to load.
  • Close the Ti casing and make sure that it is suitably locked.

Customer Information System connection

Connect the Customer Information System (CIS) of the electronic meter to terminals 4 and 5 of the Tywatt.

Switch the system on again

Remember to specify the type of substation measu-red on the plate of the electrical cabinet.

Association

Linking with the Tydom app
From the Tydom application, select:
Settings > My home > My devices > Add a device > Consumption > Tywatt 5600 > then follow the on-screen instructions.
After pairing, select the Tywatt to configure the substation measured by the TI (heating, hot water, outlets, cooling).

Deleting pairing with the Tydom application
In the Tydom applicati on, select:
Setti ngs > My home > My devices >
Consumpti on > Select the Consumpti on device corresponding to the Tywatt 5600

Press “Delete”.

Reset to factory settings

Hold the butt on pressed for 20 seconds.
The red LED fl ashes, then lights up solid.
Release.

Prerequisites for compatible OMS meters

Compatible OMS meters must have a manufacturer code accompanied by a serial number:

  • DME for Diego Metering meters,
  • EFE for Engelmann Sensor GmbH meters,
  • DWZ for Lorenz GmbH & Co. KG meters.

These compatible meters feature the following characteristics:

  • Short OMS frame,
  • OMS mode: C1 (Format A or B) or T1,
  • Without encryption or with OMS-compliant mode 5 AES128 encryption (developer master key),
  • Maximum transmission interval: 240 seconds.

Configuration of the OMS meter
Each meter is identified by means of a unique 8-di-git code (marking or labelling on the meter), which you must enter in the Tywatt configuration menu, along with the nature of the measured substation (cold water, hot water, or heating), via the Tydom application.
Take the final 8 figures of the bar code or the datamatrix.
