MEASUREMENT INSTRUCTION

  1. Align the thermometer probe in the middle of the forehead and maintain it vertical with a consistent distance of 3-5cm. Press the temperature measurement button, and the temperature will be read and displayed on the LCD screen after 1 second with a registered sound of a ‘tick’.
  2. When the ambient temperature affects the forehead temperature (ie extreme hot or cold), switch to obtaining reading from behind the ear vs. forehead.

MAINTENANCE AND PRECAUTIONS

  1. Please read the instructions carefully prior to use.
  2. Always keep the inner cavity of the sensor and probe clean to allow for optimum measurement accuracy.
  3. Surface cleaning: wipe surface with a clean, soft cloth or cotton swab with medical alcohol or water as necessary.
  4. Sensor and inner cavity cleaning: wipe sensor surface or inner cavity with a clean, soft cloth or cotton swab with medical alcohol until the medical alcohol has evaporated.
  5. Do not immerse the thermometer in any form of liquid.
  6. Do not expose the thermometer to extreme hot or cold environments for extended periods of time.
  7. Do not drop or cause trauma to the thermometer.
  8. Disassembly of the thermometer is prohibited.
  9. Do not use the thermometer in direct sunlight or water.
  10. Do not use the thermometer in strong electromagnetic environments.
  11. Keep the thermometer our of the reach of children.
  12. Measurement results are not a substitute for physician diagnosis.
  13. Changing the thermometer factory settings shall void manufacture warranty.
  14. No special maintenance is required during use. Routine and frequent cleaning is required.
  15. Please contact distributor or manufacturer if malfunction appears.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Selecting body temperature mode or object temperature mode: when in measurement mode, press the “SET” key to switch to the object temperature mode. Body temperature mode (LCD display shows a smiling face); Object temperature mode (LCD display shows a house).
  2. Reviewing measured historical data (32 record memory): When thermometer is powered off press the ‘MEMORY’ key to view the most recent data. Press the ‘MEMORY’ key again to view the previous recent data record. The 32 records memory is for body temperature mode only. Press the ‘POWER’ key to exit the memory recall.
  3. Parameter settings of the thermometer:
  4. F1 – Turning sound on a off: When the thermometer is powered off, press and hold the ‘SET’ key for 3 seconds until the LCD display is lit. In F1 mode, press ‘MEMORY’ to select On or Off. Press ‘POWER’ to exit the setting.
  5. F2 – Setting the temperature abnormal alarm threshold: In F1 mode, lightly press the ‘SET’ button to enter F2 mode. Press ‘MEMORY’ button to set the temperature. Press ‘POWER’ to exit the setting.
  6. F3 – Setting the temperature compensation: In F2 mode, lightly press the ‘SET’ button to enter F3 mode. Press ‘MEMORY’ button to set the temperature compensation. Set the value to zero (0). Changing the factory default recommended settings shall void manufacture warranty.
  7. F4 – Celsius / Fahrenheit Setting: In F3 mode, lightly press the ‘SET’ key to enter F4 mode. Press ‘MEMORY’ button to set the temperature unit, Celsius or Fahrenheit.

REMARKS

  1. Before and after use, keep the inner cavity and sensor probe clean.
  2. Always use the thermometer in a stable temperature environment. When the ambient temperature fluctuates greatly (ie difference from indoor to outdoor), allow 10 seconds before taking reading.
  3. When switching between body temperature mode and object temperature mode wait 10 minutes before use.
  4. Allow 5 minutes for thermometer and/or person/object to acclimate to current ambient temperature if prior ambient temperature was extreme hot or cold.
  5. Do not take measured temperatures when person is subject to wind blowing, sweating, wet skin, makeup, etc. on the forehead. Recommended to switch to obtaining reading from behind ear.
  6. After exercise, bathing or eating wait 30 minutes prior to taking measured temperatures of body.
