INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  1. Start by locating the fastening hardware on the door panels. There will be one behind the door handle under a plastic cover, one behind the door grab handle that you will have to pop out to reveal, and 2 at the bottom right corner of the door panels. Take a 7 mm socket and remove. Then, use a panel tool to pry the panel off the door, start from the bottom right corner. Be sure not to break any clips or mounting hardware.
  2. Pull the door panel away slowly. There will be 2 plug clips that will need to be released as well as a wire plug to disconnect. Set the door panel aside and unhook all plugs, remove the vapor barrier, and clean the car metal surface using a microfiber cloth and Acetone or other cleaning solution. The point is to get the surface clean to ensure material glue contact.
  3. Then, start applying the door pieces. Peel off the backing paper starting at the top, tack the piece onto the door and work your way down, pressing down the material and pulling down the backing paper more as you go along. Remember to feed the harnesses through the proper holes and ensure all holes are aligned properly before pressing the entire piece down. Repeat steps 1-3 for all 4 doors.
  4. Before removing the front seats, you MUST disconnect the negative terminal of your car battery with a 10 mm bolt. Now, you can work on removing the front seats. There are 13 mm bolts covered by plastic cover plates on both sides underneath the seats – you will need a T20 torx bit to remove them. Then, disconnect the harness by sliding the red security tab out of the way and pinching the connector. Then, carry the seats out of the car.
  5. The next step is to take apart the center console. Remove the trim panel underneath the dash stereo – it will snap outward.
  6. Next, remove the grip handle on the center console on the passenger side that is held by 2 T30 bolts.
  7. Then, remove the center console main top piece. It will unsnap through the seam area as seen in the photo to the left.
  8. Insert a trim tool between the selector lever boot and the trim ring to release the tabs and lift the boot upwards. Then, disconnect all the plugs in the center console.
  9. There will be a black plastic keeper crossing over the top of the center console held by 7 mm bolts. Remove this piece.
  10. Locate the two 7mm bolts on each side of the center console covered by plastic keepers. Remove these bolts and take out the final piece of the center console.
  11. Remove the backseats. There will be bolts at the bottom and nuts in the center of the seats that need to be removed in order to take the bottom brackets of the seats off. Then, there will be 18 mm bolts that hold the brackets for the seats and seatbelts, as well as T55s holding the seatbelts on each side that will need to be removed.
  12. Head to the trunk. Remove the trim plate behind the backseats to reveal some 18 mm bolts (shown in the photo to the left). Remove the bolts, then remove the backseats. We recommend taking out the smaller seat first, then bringing the larger one out after. Disconnect the two plugs in the backseat area.
  13. Go back to the door cabin and remove the door seals on each door. Then, in the driver seat floor section, remove the kick panel on the left foot rest using an extension and 10mm tool. Pull out the bolts and remove this kick panel (shown in the photo to the left).
  14. Then, remove the B pillar plastic covers located in between the front and back doors. They should unsnap easily.
  15. Prep your vehicle for the floor piece installation. Clean the metal surfaces with a microfiber cloth and Acetone or other cleaning solution. Then, roll the carpeting up toward the dashboard to allow full access to the floor area. We also recommend putting a cloth or tarp over your dashboard to protect it during installation.
  16. Start with the main rear floor piece, the largest piece in this kit. As you did with the door pieces, peel back one small section of the kit piece, tack the piece in place and work your way down, pulling the backing paper off as you go and ensuring the holes are aligned properly before pressing the material down firmly. Repeat with the 2 middle floor pieces.
  17. Unravel your carpet and flip it to the passenger side to install the driver front door piece. Next, flip the carpet toward the driver side in order to install the passenger front floor piece.
  18. After all the pieces are installed, double check that none of the holes are blocked for the mounting hardware and all the material has solid contact. Then, reverse the disassembly process – replace carpets, center console, bolts, seats, plugs, etc., reconnect the battery, and enjoy your quiet new ride!

Recommended Installation Instructions

  • A. Prepping the Surface
After removing interior door panels, you are ready to clean the metal areas that will be insulated. If the metal has a “new” look without imperfections, then take a microfiber cloth and wipe away any dust and debris. If the metal is showing signs of age like rust, we recommend using Acetone with a breathing mask to wipe off debris and loose particles. A shop vacuum might be needed to remove loose debris on the floorboard.

  • B. Installing Panels
Now that you have a clean surface, you are ready to start applying the sheets. We recommend using a roller to release air pockets that might be lingering from trapped air. You want to make sure that you have rolled those out to the edge and all the material has a good seal to the metal surface. Make sure all pieces are installed and inspected before reinstalling the interior.
