BEFORE YOU START

Set up your freezer
Prior to using the freezer, make sure it is located on a floor that is level and strong enough to support it fully loaded. Check out INSTALLATION in your Use & Care Guide to see how to set the anti-tip bracket.
Before operating for the first time
Clean the inside of your appliance before using it. See the CARE AND CLEANING section in your Use & Care Guide.

YOU’RE IN CONTROL

Set your freezer temperature
It’s easy! When first turning your appliance on, adjust to Recommended. Some models have a green LED Power On Light projected on the floor.  Note: this light will flash continuously until the freezer reaches the selected temperature. To ensure safe food storage, allow the appliance to operate with the door closed for at least 8 hours before loading it with food. If necessary, we recommend you adjust the temperature gradually, in small increments, allowing the temperature to stabilize.

CONTROL

  1. Adjusting the appliance temperature control to OFF turns off the compressor and prevents the appliance from cooling but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb and other electrical components. To turn off power to your appliance, you must unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2.  For warmer temperatures, adjust the setting to Cold. For colder temperatures, adjust the setting to Coldest.
  3. The control can be left at the factory preset (Recommended) or adjusted as desired.
  4. If the temperature inside the cabinet increases, the red High Temp* light will illuminate and the alarm will sound.
  5. The Freeze Boost* mode quickly drives the appliance to a colder temperature and stays active for up to 24 hours before automatically activating or being manually exited.
  6. Pressing the Temp* button will allow you to scroll through the five temperature settings from Cold (top) to Coldest (bottom), and then loop back to Cold.

*Refer to your Use & Care Guide for detailed information.

FAQs

Why is the green LED Power On Light flashing?
This light will flash continuously when the appliance is first plugged in until the unit reaches the selected temperature.
What does the alarm or “buzzer sound” mean?
If the temperature inside the cabinet gets warmer, the High Temp alert will sound. It’s best to make sure your freezer is on a level surface, and the door closes freely and with a proper seal. Once you close the freezer door, leave it closed so the freezer temperature can decrease. If this does not correct the issue, check your Use & Care Guide for information on how to reset the alarm.
The freezer temperature is warmer than preferred. What’s wrong?
If the freezer temperature is warmer than you’d like, adjust the control to a colder setting until the freezer temperature is satisfactory. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.
Why does my freezer seem to run continuously?
Your freezer is equipped with an energy-efficient variable speed compressor. It actually saves energy running more frequently.
