OVERVIEW

The LifeStraw® Go water bottle incorporates award-winning filter technology into a convenient bottle which removes bacteria, protozoa, bad odor, taste and some chemicals without requiring batteries or pumping. Its lightweight and slender design makes it perfect for hiking, traveling, and everyday use in areas where water may be unsafe to drink due to contamination by bacteria or parasites. LifeStraw® Go uses a very effective 2-stage filtration process: Stage 1: Replaceable hollow fiber membrane filter removes 99.9999 % of bacteria (E. coli, etc.) and 99.9 % of protozoa (Giardia, Cryptosporidium, etc.). Lifetime: 1,000 liters (264 gallons) Stage 2: Replaceable activated carbon capsule reduces bad odor and taste, chlorine and organic chemical matter. Lifetime: 100 liters (26.4 gallons)

Replacing the filter

  • Replacing the filter in your LifeStraw® Go is quick and easy to do. Simply unscrew the top cap from the bottle and gently remove the filter. Discard the used one.
  • Insert the new filter into the top cap and then screw the top cap back into the bottle. Make sure the carbon capsule is pushed all the way in on the top

Replacing the carbon capsule

The carbon capsule should be replaced after 100 liters (26.4 gallons)

  1. With your nails or a coin, grab the groove of the carbon capsule and pull out.
  2. Rinse the new carbon capsule under flowing safe tap water. Then, insert it by pushing it into the carbon chamber until it clicks.

Daily use

Prior to the first use of your LifeStraw Go, remove the carbon capsule from the filter and place it under clean flowing safe water. Also, rinse the bottle, cap, and filter with safe water prior first use. Upon first use or anytime the filter is dry, fill bottle with water, screw lid on, and allow to sit for a few seconds to prime the filter. Then take a few quick sips to get the water flowing. LifeStraw Go will no longer filter water when the product has reached the end of its working life. Inability to sip water through LifeStraw Go indicates that the product should be replaced. After each use, blow air through the filter to keep it clean and prevent clogging. Before storing, unscrew lid, rinse with safe water, and let dry before screwing lid back on and putting it away in storage Remove the filter before placing bottle in the dishwasher for cleaning.LifeStraw-Water-Bottle-with-2-Stage-
