WATER FILTER DISPENSER

COMPONENTS
FIRST TIME SETUP
- Rinse Carbon Filter: Unwrap the carbon filter attached to the setup card. Rinse under cold, running tap water for 1 minute.
- Clean filter housing and dispenser: Remove filter housing and rinse with water only. Hand wash the dispenser body with a mild detergent and rinse.
- Rinse membrane microfilter: Put the filter housing back into the dispenser. Run one batch of water through the filter. Discard water.
- Install carbon filter: Remove filter housing, and pat dry. Pull down and twist the bottom cap of the filter housing to remove it. Install carbon filter into housing cap. Press cap back onto housing.
- Final Rinse: Put the filter housing back into the dispenser. Run one batch of water through the filter. Discard water. Ready to use!
STORAGE
Daily Use: Store in the refrigerator or on the countertop.
Long-Term Storage: For non-use longer than 2 weeks: discard remaining water.
Remove filters from the unit and store them in a sealed bag. With next use,
clean filters, dispenser body, and filter housing per cleaning instructions.
Re-install filters and resume use.

Wash with water and a small amount of bleach (1/2 tsp mixed with 2C of water).

WARNING
If the membrane microfilter freezes after it has been used, it must be
replaced. Never use LifeStraw Home with industrial chemicals, brackish water,
seawater, or boiling water.
The quality of the filtered water is not guaranteed if the product is
submitted to conditions other than those encountered during its normal use. To
prevent breakage, do not drop or hit LifeStraw Home against hard surfaces.

longevity performance of LifeStraw Home is conducted under standard laboratory
test conditions; more information regarding test results and conditions can be
found on www.lifestraw.com. The effectiveness of
LifeStraw Home may be limited by environmental or hygienic conditions that
could contribute to the recontamination of water after it has passed through
the product’s internal filter.
These conditions include but are not limited to:
- Handling the inside of the LifeStraw Home or the spout with dirty hands.
- Failure to maintain a clean filter housing and pitcher.
- Use the pitcher if the glass/plastic is cracked.
- Failure to replace the filters per manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Use in or exposure to extreme heat (higher temperature than 140°
F/60°C) or freezing temperatures (below 32° F/0°C).
