INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Step 1a

Wood Surface Installation Option

  • Hold the Wall Template (#C) in the desired location for installation and use a pencil to mark the locations of the 6 holes through the template.
  • Drill a hole in the marked locations using a 3/16” (4.5mm) drill bit to a depth of 2.2” (55mm).
  • Install the 2 Lag Screws (#W-A) into the locations shown that correspond with the 2 keyhole-shaped holes on the mount, and do not fully tighten the Lag Screws. Leave a gap of approximately 0.2” (5mm) between the ceiling and the bottom of the screw head.
  • Hang the Motorized Mount (#A) on the two Lag Screws and slide it forward so that the Screws rest in the smaller end of the channel.
  • Install the remaining 4 Lag Screws (#W-A) and Washers (#W-C).MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-14

Step 1b

Concrete or Stone Surface Installation Option

  • Hold the Wall Template (#C) in the desired location for installation and use a pencil to mark the locations of the 6 holes through the template.
  • Drill a hole in the marked locations using a 3/8” (10mm) drill bit to a depth of 2.4” (60mm).
  • Insert all 6 Concrete Anchors (W-B) into the holes. Install the 2 Lag Screws (#W-A) into the locations shown that correspond with the 2 keyhole-shaped holes on the mount, and do not fully tighten the Lag Screws. Leave a gap of approximately 0.2” (5mm) between the ceiling and the bottom of the screw head.
  • Hang the Motorized Mount (#A) on the two Lag Screws and slide it forward so that the Screws rest in the smaller end of the channel.
  • Install the remaining 4 Lag Screws (#W-A) and Washers (#W-C).MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-15

Step 2

Assemble the VESA Plate

  • Connect the Center Plate (#B) to the two Horizontal Arms (#F) using Bolts (#L) though the TV-facing side as shown here, and secure on the opposite side using Washers (#M) and Nuts (#N).

  • Slide the VESA Arms (#E) onto opposite sides of the Horizontal Arms and insert Safety Bolts (#O) into the hole on each end of the Horizontal Arms as shown, so that the VESA Arms can no longer slide back off the poles.MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-16

  • Position the VESA arms at the appropriate width for your TV’s VESA pattern and fix the arms in place by inserting and tightening the Set Screws (#K) into the back of the VESA Arms.
Note: The VESA arms should be centered on the horizontal arms so that they are equal distances on each side from the center.MOUNT-IT-MI-4224
-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-17

  • Remove the 4 bolts from the back of the Center Plate (shown here) and keep them for later use in Step 4. Loosen the middle bolt leaving a gap of approximately 0.2” between the plate and the bottom of the bolt head.MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-18

Step 3

Attach the VESA Plate to the TV

  • Select the appropriate size mounting bolt (Select one size #M-A, M-B, M-C, or M-D) for your display’s mounting holes and verify the length of the VESA bolt is not too long. If you are unsure of the correct bolt size for your display refer to your display’s user manual or contact the display’s manufacturer for sizing information. If necessary, use the included spacers (#M-F or M-G) between the mount and the screen as shown above to adjust the length of the mounting bolt. Multiple spacers can be used in combination to achieve the desired bolt depth. Attach the VESA Plate using the selected bolts and tighten until secure. Do not over tighten. Square Washer (M-E) must be used in all configurations.MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-19

Step 4

Leveling and Securing the TV

  • Attach the Leveling Legs onto the end of the lower two protruding Set Screws. These knobs should both touch the ceiling when in the fully retracted position to level the TV and mounting arm mechanism.

MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-20

  • Hang the TV onto the front of the Mount and ensure that the bolt is fully lowered into the smaller end of the keyhole-shaped channel. Re-install the four bolts (removed in step 2) as shown to secure the VESA plate to the mount. These 4 bolts can be used to level the screen as needed by setting the level of the screen before fully tightening these bolts.

Tip: Multiple keyholes are provided to vertically adjust the placement of the TV relative to the ceiling. Use the lower keyhole for larger TVs to create greater clearance between the top of the TV and the ceiling.MOUNT-IT-MI-4224
-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-25

Caution: Ensure there is a minimum gap of 0.6” (15mm) between the ceiling and the top of your TV. Failure to do so may result in damage to the TV or Motorized Mount.MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-

Step 5

Cable Management

  • Run any cables through the channels on the Cable Management Covers (#D) and slide the covers into place when done. Use the Cable Management Ties (#I) in the locations shown to keep cables secure and out of the way of the motorized arm. Leave slack in the cable ties so that the cables do not pull tight when the motorized arm moves.

Warning: Keep cables and objects clear of moving parts at all times .MOUNT-IT-MI-4224-Motorized-TV-Ceiling-Mount-FIG-23
