SAFETY WARNINGS
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Before you begin. Read these instructions completely & carefully.
WARNING Risk of electrical shock. Disconnect power before servicing or
installing the luminaire.
WARNING Risk of injury or damage. The luminaire will fall if not
installed properly. Follow installation instructions, NEC and local codes and
best trade knowledge.
WARNING Risk of injury. Wear safety glasses and gloves during
installation and servicing.
WARNING Risk of injury or damage. Mount only to a mechanically sound
surface; All fixtures must be connected to a grounded, three-wire supply: All
electrical connections must be capped with UL-listed wire connectors rated
600V or higher; If supply wires are located within three inches of the LED
driver, use wire rated for at least 90°C; Consult qualified electrician before
installing.
Follow the information on the label & instructions regarding installation near
combustible materials, insulation, and building materials & in Dry or Wet
locations. Do not install in areas exposed to combustible vapors or gases.
This product must be installed by a person familiar with the construction and
operation of the product and the hazards involved, in accordance with the
applicable installation. Be sure to ground the product to avoid potential
electrical shock or another potential hazard. Use of accessory equipment not
recommended by the manufacturer or installed inconsistent with instructions
may cause an unsafe condition. Do not completely or partially block light
emerging from the product, as this could cause an unsafe condition. Do not
allow other items to come into contact with the product, as this may cause an
unsafe condition. WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the
State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and/or other reproductive
harm. Thoroughly wash your hands after installing, servicing, handling,
deaning, or otherwise touching this product. This device complies with FOC CFR
Title 47 Part 15, Class A requirements for EMURFI.
INSTALLATION
Step 1: Unpack & Inspect
Carefully remove the fixture from the packaging. Use gloves to prevent dirt
and oils from transferring to the unit. Inspect the fixture for any defects
before proceeding. Confirm the product ordered matches the product received
Step 2: Attach Grid-Clips and Lay-In Fixture
CAUTION: EDGES MAY BE SHARP: Attach grid clips (four locations) and
gently lower the fixture into the grid, ensuring the grid clips engage the
T-bar.
Step 3: Attached Slack Wires
Attach slack wires (four locations) if desired or if required by local
building codes
Step 4: Remove Access Plate Use a screwdriver to remove the access plate.
Reach in and pull the ends of the fixture wires through the hole in the
fixture. Take care to avoid abrading fixture wires. Step 5: Make Electrical
Connections
Remove a pry-out, route the metal-clad cable and secure to the access plate.
Make electrical connections: Line to black, neutral to white and earth ground
to the screw on the access plate.
Step 6: Replace Cover Plate & Test
CAUTION: EDGES MAY BE SHARP: Install access plate, apply power and confirm
normal operation
APPLICATION ADVICE
- Do not touch LED diodes or connecting clips on the LED modules.
- This product is intended for application in indoor, dry, and non-corrosive environments with a maximum operating ambient temperature of 25C.
