OPT7 Headlight Restoration Polish Package

Product Information

The HEADLIGHT RESTORATION POLISH PACKAGE includes the following components:

1. A – Hand Sander
2. BB – 1000 Grit Sandpaper
3. C – 2000 Grit Sandpaper
4. D – 3000 Grit Sandpaper
5. G – Large Microfiber Towel
6. H – CPX-1 Polish
7. I – CPX-2 Polish
8. J – Alcohol Prep Pad

Additional or optional items that may be needed for the process are:

1. Masking/Painters Tape
2. Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol
3. Extra Microfiber Towels
4. Drill
5. Foam Pad

Product Usage Instructions

1. STEP 1: Remove any dirt, dust, or debris from the headlight using the provided Alcohol Prep Pad J. Next, wipe the area dry using the Large Microfiber Towel G.
2. STEP 2: Mask edges using masking tape.
3. STEP 3: Attach 1000 Grit Sandpaper B to the Hand Sander A.
4. STEP 4: Sand the headlight in a smooth uniform side-to-side motion with overlapping passes. Use water or spray water directly onto the sandpaper.
5. STEP 5: Sand evenly and with the same applied pressure to create a smooth surface, but not to generate extreme heat in any particular area of the headlight. Be sure to occasionally clear the headlight lens of any debris.
6. STEP 6: Remove 1000 Grit Sandpaper B and attach the 2000 C to 3000 Grit Sandpaper D to the Hand Sander A. Then follow step 5 to create a smooth surface.
7. STEP 7: Sand the headlight in a smooth uniform side-to-side motion with overlapping passes.
8. STEP 8: Apply three nickel-sized drops of CPX-1 Polish H to the Firm Foam Pad.
9. STEP 9: Use a slow, back-and-forth continuous overlapping motion and alter drill speed as needed to treat a small area at a time. Heavy pad pressure is not required. Do not use the pad’s edge.
10. STEP 10: Apply three nickel-sized drops of CPX-2 Polish I to the soft foam pad.
11. STEP 11: Use a slow, back-and-forth continuous overlapping motion and alter drill speed as needed to treat a small area at a time. Heavy pad pressure is not required. Do not use the pad’s edge.
12. STEP 12: Clean the headlight lens with an Alcohol Prep Pad J to remove all CPX product residue, then wipe clean and dry with the fresh side of a microfiber towel.
13. STEP 13: Continue cleaning the headlight with overlapping strokes until the entire headlight has been treated.
14. STEP 14: It is recommended to keep the headlight clean and dry for 24 hours.

INSTALLATION

• STEP1

  Attach 1000 Grit Sandpaper B to the Hand Sande. A

• STEP 4

  • Sand the headlight in a smooth uniform side to side motion with overlapping passes.
  • Be cautious around edges, and be careful to not touch paint.
  • Keep the sandpaper wet by dunking it into a small container with water or spraying water directly onto the sandpaper.

• STEP 5
  Sand evenly and with the same applied pressure to create a smooth surface, but not to generate extreme heat in any particular area of the headlight. (Be sure to occasionally clear the headlight lends of any debris).

• STEP 6
  Remove 1000 Grit Sandpaper B and attach the 2000 C to 3000 Grit Sandpaper D to the Hand Sander. A Then follow the step 5 to create a smooth surface.

• STEP 7

  • Sand the headlight in a smooth uniform side to side motion with overlapping passes.

  Use a slow, back-and-forth continuous overlapping motion and alter drill speed as needed to treat a small area at a time. Heavy pad pressure is not required. Do not use the pads edge.

• STEP 12
