Before Using This Heater:
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. This includes but is not limited to the following:

CAUTION:
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge of the product. The appliance is to be operated by responsible adults only after reading and understanding these instructions. Children should be supervised at all times to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children under 16 years should not operate the unit or carry out maintenance and/or clean the unit. Any infirmed persons in the vicinity of the unit should be accompanied by a responsible and competent able bodied adult. Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact. If there is any doubt concerning the integrity of the unit do not use the appliance and contact our recommended after-sales service. Do not leave any packaging materials within easy reach of children. Before switching on the appliance check if the electrical voltage and frequency of the circuit correspond to those indicated on the appliance. Use the appliance only for the stated purpose, namely as a heater for domestic use. Do not use it for any other application as it could be dangerous.

Safety Instructions

  • The product is for household use only.
  • The item should be used only as intended.
  • Check item carefully before use. Do not switch on heater with defects or damaged power cable.
  • The appliance should be connected to the same voltage as shown on the rating label and printed in the manual.
  • The heater should only be plugged into grounded sockets.
  • Before plugging in the heater, make sure it is switched off.
  • Do not use the appliance near flammable liquids or any flammable materials.
  • The appliance must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
  • If the power cable is damaged in any way, send it to the nearest after sales service recommended by the manufacturer for replacement.
  • Do not connect the appliance to extension cables or multiple outlets.
  • Do not damage or knot the power cable.
  • Before cleaning the appliance or carrying out any maintenance, switch off the heater, unplug from its power source and leave to cool.
  • Never expose the appliance to external weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.)
  • The appliance must always be placed on a flat and stable surface with the feet fitted correctly or fitted correctly to a wall using the correct fixings.
  • If the appliance is not being used for long periods of time switch it off. If any repair is required please contact the after-sale centers approved by the manufacturer.
  • Do not touch heater with wet hands.
  • Always unplug the item before cleaning, or if the item becomes faulty.
  • Never carry the heater by the power cable.
  • When you switch off the heater unplug from the power source by the plug. Do not pull on the cable to unplug from the power source.
  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  • CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • The appliance should only be connected to the same voltage as printed on the rating label and manual.
  • If used as a Portable Heater, do not use in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or a swimming pool.
  • WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  • Never place foreign objects into the air vents.

Installation

  • The Digital Panel heaters can be wall-mounted or floor standing.
  • Mount feet on the base of the unit in accordance with Figure Fl making sure the screws are securely tightened.
  • For wall mounting see Figure F2 Pictures 1-4.
    • A. This model has the wall bracket already constructed and attached to the rear of the unit. To remove the bracket from the heater remove the top two screws located at the top of the bracket F2 (Image 1). This bracket gives you an excellent template for wall mounting. It is also good practice to try attaching the wall bracket to the heater and then taking it off, so that you are familiar with how it attaches and detaches.
    • B. Place the wall bracket against the wall in a level position and mark the four drill holes, 2 holes on each of the two upright parts on the wall bracket. Drill the four holes and insert the 4 plastic wall plugs supplied. Fix the bracket to the wall using the 4 screws provided (Image 2). Please ensure you use the correct wall fixing for the correct type of wall.
    • C. Align the heater with the wall bracket and fix securely (image 3).
    • D. Fix the two screws to the top of the bracket to secure the heater into place (image 4).
  • Pay attention to the position of the heater with regard to other objects.
  • Never locate the heater under any power socket.
  • The heater carries an IPX4 rating which means “protection against splashing water from any angle.” If the unit is to be fitted in a bathroom it must be “INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN”.

Use of the item

TOUCH SCREEN
Insert the plug into a suitable power socket. The touch screen buttons located on the product correspond to the functions below:

  1. Display
  2. Temperature Setting
  3. Heat Mode Setting
  4. Timer Setting
  5. Power Button ON/OFF

Manual Settings of The Heater Without Wifi/ App
Switch on with the power switch located at the right hand side of the heater. Press the “power” button “5” (Figure 3). The heater will show current room temperature. The
heater will operate in low heating mode l l from switching on, unless the set temperature is lower than the room temperature. Press the power button again to switch off the unit.

Setting Room Temperature

  • It is recommended for a living room to be set to an average temperature of 20-22 degrees and for rooms in the rest of the home to be 18-20 degrees. The temperature can be set and reset at any time during operation and you can choose between the low or high heat settings.
  • It is important that you choose the correct sized heater to heat the correct sized room. The size of heater and time to heat a room can vary based on the room height, room size, standard of home insulation and if the room is north or south facing. Please see Page 8 for guidance for room size.
  • Press the temperature button “2” on the display, the temperature can be set from l C to 40°C. The set temperature will start to operate at 3 degrees above the room temperature. For example, if the room temperature is 16°C, set the unit temperature to l 9°C for the unit to switch on. When set temperature is reached, the unit will automatically switch off and automatically switch on again if the temperature falls below set temperature.
  • Choose your heating mode by pressing button “3” (Figure 3) shown above for low heat l l shows on the display press again for high heat l l l You cannot . choose a heat mode if the set temperature is set below the room temperature.
  • If you require the heater to operate continuously, set the set temperature button “2” (Figure 3) to the same temperature as the room temperature and press button “3” (Figure 3) for low heat l l or press again for high heat l l l.
  • The display will remember your last temperature setting when switched off and back on using the power button “5” (Figure 3), but will operate again on the lower heat setting l l as an energy saving function. If turned off with the power switch at the side of the unit, you will need to input your required temperature settings again when switched back on.

Timer:
The unit is fitted with the Next Generation 24hr countdown timer (not a programmable timer), designed for ease of use and as an Energy Saving Function. You can select from 1-24 hours by pressing button “4” for the timer, for example set the time to 4 hours and the unit will display the Blue Clock and automatically countdown 4-3-2-1-0 and switch off when the set time reaches zero. For continuous running, set the timer to 0-0 on the timer display and the unit will continue to operate until manually switched off. Please note the Blue Clock will not show on the display if 0-0 is chosen on the timer display.

OPERATION

Plug the appliance into an appropriate electrical outlet. Tum on the appliance by pressing the main power switch located at the side of the heater. You will hear a beep sound and the current room temperature shows in the display. Press the power button on the display to tum the heater on.

Use your phone to scan the QR code below or search for the “TUYA SMART” App to download and generate a free account. You can also visit www.tuya.com for more information. Please note Tuya are constantly developing and upgrading their Apps to make them more user friendly and sometimes, displays may differ slightly to the display shown in this manual due to upgrades. If you have any questions concerning technical problems, please contact our Customer Services on 0800 091 3171 quoting the model number found on the unit rating label.

  2. Select your country code, enter your mobile number and select “Get” to receive a message containing your verification code.
  3. Enter your verification code and select “Login”.
  4. Switch on the heater and make sure the product is in a WiFi covered environment.
  • The WiFi indicator light  will rapidly blink at the top of the display.
  • If the indicator light does not rapidly blink, please press the “ ” button for 5 seconds, the product will “beep” and the WiFi indicator light will rapidly blink.
  • Then go back to the Tuya App, select “Add Device” at the bottom, as shown in the picture below (next page).
  • Next: select “Heater”, as shown in the picture below.
  • Next: select “Confirm Indicator Rapidly Blinks”, see picture below. On this unit the Indicator WiFi flashes rapidly on top the heater display.
  • Next: Input your WiFi password and select contirm (password is usually located on the rear of your Home WiFi hub).
  • Next: Wait for the app to connect successfully with the heater. The WiFi symbol at the top of the heater display will stay on permanent when successtully connected and the app on your phone will show like the picture below for successful connection. When complete, it will show added Successfully; press “Done” to complete. If connection fails, try again. If connection fails again check your hub connections, unplug the hub and plug back in, (this should release any built up static. Try connecting again until successful).

Your heater is now ready for programming from the Tuya Smart App. You can program the heater to work in any room of your home by following the simple app instructions. We recommend that you take the time to study, learn and test the full benefits of the Tuya Smart App. The app can be used to control your heater from anywhere in the world, providing you have internet access.

Basie Operation:
Using the screen displayed on your phone like the picture below, you can operate the heater by:

  • Selecting the power button to manually switch the heater on or off.
  • Selecting the ‘High’ button to have the heater in high heat mode or low heat mode.
  • Selecting the ‘Lock’ button (Child Lock) to unlock or lock the heater.
  • Selecting the Timer’ button to choose in I hour increments how long you require the heater to be switched on for.
  • Press the ‘Weekly’ timer button to program the heater for your desired daily settings.

Weekly Programming:

  • When selecting the Weekly timer button above, the picture below then shows.
  • You can program the heater by the time, day, multiple days, week and temperature. Please note, for the heater to work, the set temperature must be higher than the room temperature. If not, the heater will operate in standby mode and turn on when the room temperature drops below the set temperature. See pIcture below for settings for multiple days.
  • Each time you have set your preferred settings, press the “Save’ button shown in the top right hand corner of the app screen. See picture below.
  • Press the “Back’ button in top left corner to check or amend your settings.

Average Room Heat Calculator

The required power otf the heater depends on size of room, its insulation, outside temperature etc. The following table gives estimated average recommendations on what wattage power is required depending on the size and height of the room with standard insulation. The appliance emits a beep upon each operation setting.

PAT TESTING
When used in a workplace, this product must be safety-tested yearly by a qualified electrician (PAT Tested) in order to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations We recommend that it is PAT tested regularly when used in a domestic enviroment.

MAINTENANCE

The appliance needs regular external cleaning only. After use and before cleaning, always unplug the appliance and wait until the item is cool When switched off and cooled, any dust can be lightly brushed off the grilles. Do not clean the unit with abrasive materials or solvents. Use only a damp cloth.
