DO NOT USE IMPACT TOOLS
Step 1. Locate the driver side step rail.
Step 2. Install the (x6) mounting brackets to each attachment point on
the main tube using the supplied M10x25 carriage bolts, M10 hex nuts and leave
loose for now.
NOTE: The DRIVER side bracket bend will point towards the REAR of the
vehicle and towards the FRONT on the PASSENGER side.
Step 3. Carefully raise the step up into position aligning the mounting
brackets with the factory-threaded holes. Beginning with the center bracket
start one of the supplied M8x30mm Hex bolts in the upper mount and finger
tighten. This will allow the Nerf step to be suspended while you start the
reminder of the hardware.
Step 4. Next, start all remainder hardware in the factory locations and
leave loose.
Step 5. Tighten the lower mounts first then the upper mounts.
Step 6. Next, tighten brackets (x3) at the main tube.
Step 7. Repeat steps 2-6 for passenger side.
