Mounting Bracket Identifier
DRIVER SIDE INSTALL
Step 1. Under the driver side door, there will be three body plugs. Starting from the front, remove the second and third body plug.
Step 2. Using a utility knife, remove the undercoating from the right side
of the first plug that was removed in step .
Step 3. Next, measure over ½” and make a mark. Use a punch to make a mark to drill. Use a 3/8 drill bit to drill your hole. NOTE: Using a smaller bit for a pilot hole is recommended.
Step 4. Insert one of the supplied M8 U-nuts and align with the drill
hole.
Step 5. Install Driver 1 bracket (D1) using the supplied M8x30mm hex bolt
and snug tight.
Next, insure the flat mounting surface of the bracket is level and make a mark
through the lower mounting hole on to the pinch weld.
Step 6. Use a punch to mark center and drill a 1/8” hole. Install a
supplied M8x30mm hex bolt with nut and leave loose. NOTE: The M8 bolt and nut
will install from the outside of the pinch weld.
Step 7. Follow same steps with Driver side 2 (D2) bracket.
PASSENGER SIDE INSTALL
Step 1. To install passenger side 1 (P1) bracket and (P2) brackets, repeat passenger side steps 1-6.
GRIP STRUT INSTALL
NOTE: All brackets should be loose at this time.
Step 1: Set the running board along the top of all 2 brackets and center
along the cab.
Step 2: Insert the supplied threaded bracket (x2) inside the running
board lip over the top of each bracket.
Step 3: With the supplied 3/8” x 1” hex bolts, secure each mounting
location and leave loose.
Step 4 : After final adjustment, tighten all running board threaded mounts to (25-30 ft./lbs. torque)
Step
5 : Tighten all mounting brackets to 18-22 ft/lbs. torque.
