Product Information

The Deckenaufbau-Tiefstrahler is a ceiling-mounted downlight with symmetrical light distribution. It is made of aluminium alloy, aluminium, and stainless steel. The luminaire features partiallyfrosted crystal glass that produces additional vertical light, complementing the downward light directed by multi- faceted light graphics. It has a protection class of IP65, making it dust- tight and protected against water jets. The impact strength is IK06.

The luminaire is equipped with an anodised aluminium reflector and a silicone gasket. The distance between the reflector and thesurface is 75 mm. The installation and operation of this luminaire must comply with national safety regulations and should only be
carried out by a qualified electrician.

The product is compatible with lamp modules connected to a wattage of 4.8 W and 5.4 W. It operates at a rated voltage of 24 V DC.

The module designation LED-0336/830 has a colour temperature of 3000 K, a colour rendering index (CRI) greater than 80, a moduleluminous flux of 940 lm, and a luminaire luminous flux of 495 lm. The luminaire luminous efficiency is 91.7 lm/W.

The module designation LED-0336/840 has a colour temperature of 4000 K, a CRI greater than 80, a module luminous flux of 965 lm, and a luminaire luminous flux of 508 lm. The luminaire luminous efficiency is 94.1 lm/W.

Please note that the luminaire should only be operated with an operating device that meets the requirements of EN 61347-2-13. The maximum idle voltage should conform to SELV or SELV equivalent.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the installation and operation of the luminaire comply with national safety regulations.
  2. Only a qualified electrician should carry out the installation and commissioning of the luminaire.
  3. Use lamp modules with a connected wattage of 4.8 W or 5.4 W.
  4. The luminaire operates at a rated voltage of 24 V DC.
  5. Choose the appropriate module designation based on your desired colour temperature (3000 K or 4000 K) and colour rendering index (CRI > 80).
  6. Ensure that the operating device used with the luminaire meets the requirements of EN 61347-2-13 and has a maximum idle voltage conforming to SELV or SELV equivalent.
  7. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for proper maintenanceand cleaning of the luminaire.
  8. Do not make any modifications to the luminaire without prior authorization from the manufacturer.

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Please note:
The luminaire can only be operated with an operating device that fulfills the requirements according to EN 61347-2-13. The maximum idle voltage of 60 V DC must conform to SELV or SELV equivalent.

Installation

  • LED are high-quality electronic components!
  • Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
  • Screw out glass from the base.
  • Pass the connecting cable through the cable entry into the luminaire housing.
  • Fasten the luminaire housing with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the mounting surface.
  • Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
  • In order to guarantee the maximum service life of the electrical components, the enclosed desiccant pouch must be placed in the luminaire.
  • Remove the desiccant pouch from the foil packaging and place it in the position marked by the red information label immediately before finally closing the luminaire.
  • Make the electrical connection.
  • Note correct configuration of the mains supply cable.
  • Connect black conductor with negative pole and red conductor with positive pole of the power supply unit.
  • A 24 V safety direct voltage source with a smoothed residual ripple of max. 10 % is required for the electrical connection of the luminaire – see accessories.
  • If other safety direct voltage sources are used, an upstream fuse (max. 6 A) must be provided by the customer.
  • Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
  • Screw the glass into the luminaire housing against the gasket.

Replacing the LED module

  • The designation of the LED module is noted ona label in the luminaire.
  • The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
  • The module can be replaced by qualifiedpersons using standard tools.
  • Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
  • Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
  • Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets.
  • Defective glass must be replaced.
  • Close the luminaire.

Cleaning · Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits. Do not use high pressure cleaners.

The power supply units are also suitable for the operation of several LED luminaires. In this case, the maximum wattage of the power supply unit must not be exceeded.
