is considered to be unsuitable.
The manufacturer cannot accept liability for any damages resulting from improper use.
POSITIONING
- The product should be placed on a smooth, horizontal surface that can support the weight of the product when it is filled with water.
- To prevent vibrations the product should be placed on a rubber mat or other vibration damping underlay.
- The product should be protected from the weather in a well ventilated area.
- If the product is used for a pond or pool it should be installed in such a way as to prevent overflowing, and so that it cannot drop. Follow the applicable local regulations and directives.
- If the product is installed indoors the floor should be water resistant or provided with a floor drain.
CONNECTION OF SUCTION TUBE
IMPORTANT:
Risk of material damage. The suction tube should be installed so that it does
not transfer mechanical stress to the pump.
Fit a suitable filter if the pumped water is contaminated or turbid.
NOTE:
- It is recommended to install a non-return valve to prevent return flow, which can cause the water in the product and the suction tube to empty when the product is not running.
- Use a pre-filter to protect the product from sand, clay and other particles.
- All the screw unions should be sealed with jointing tape. Any leakage will allow air to penetrate the system, which reduces the pumping capacity.
- Use teflon tape for metal threads and normal jointing tape for plastic threads.
- All parts of the suction tube should be installed by qualified personnel.
- The inner diameter of the suction tube should be at least 25 mm. The suction tube should be made of material that does not squeeze at underpressure and which is resistant to bending.
- The pump’s suction tube should be as short as possible – long suction tubes reduce the capacity of the pump.
- The suction tube should run upwards all the way to the pump, to avoid air becoming stationary in the tube.
- Make sure that the inlet on the suction tube is always under the surface of the water.
CONNECTION OF OUTLET TUBE
IMPORTANT:
Risk of material damage. The outlet tube should be installed so that it does not transfer mechanical stress to the pump.
- All the screw unions should be sealed with jointing tape. Any leakage will allow air to penetrate the system, which reduces the pumping capacity.
- Use teflon tape for metal threads and normal jointing tape for plastic threads.
- All parts of the outlet tube should be installed by qualified personnel.
WARNING! Risk of personal injury. If components are used that cannot withstand the pressure, or if the installation is not carried out correctly, the outlet tube can burst and spray out water, which can cause personal injury and/or material damage.
Note: The product is not intended for transporting drinking water, only to transport water for a toilet or washing machine.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
WARNING! Electrical safety! Do not expose the product to rain, or use it in damp conditions.
Prerequisites
- The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed and earthed power point.
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate and that the circuit is correctly fused.
- The product must always be connected to a residual current device with a tripping current of ≤ 30 mA when used for pools and ponds.
- If the product is used outdoors, only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use. The product must not be put in water.
- If an extension cord is used the cross-sectional area of the wires must be dimensioned for the power supply to the product. If an extension cord is used on a reel, pull out the full length of cord.
HOW TO USE
FILLING THE PUMP HOUSING AND SUCTION TUBE WITH WATER
IMPORTANT: Risk of material damage. The product must be filled with water each time it is connected to a new installation and if the water has run out or air has penetrated into the system. Do not leave the product unattended when running. Dry running can result in material damage.
- Remove the product from the packaging and place it on a level, stable surface. FIG. 2
- Unscrew and remove the water filler plug and its seal.
- Connect the suction hose to the water inlet and the outlet hose to the water outlet. FIG. 3
- Open the refill opening cap and fill with water until it runs over. FIG. 4
- Replace the water filler plug and its seal and tighten.
- The suction tube can be filled with water to shorten the suction time (only possible if the tube has a non-return valve).
- Open the tap on the suction tube so that air can flow out during the suction time.
- Plug in the plug and start the pump. FIG. 5
- Switch off the product and pull out the plug when water comes out in a smooth flow. Drain the water from the product by opening the drain on the pump. FIG. 6
NOTE:
- It is recommended to install a non-return valve between the suction tube and pump, so that the water remains in the suction tube.
- It is recommended to use an intake filter for best functionality.
- The pump and suction tube should be connected and filled with water.
- Always check before use that the suction tube is tight. Bubbles of air in the suction tube indicate leakage, and can prevent the product from working properly.
IMPORTANT: Risk of material damage. Never allow the product to run dry. Make sure there is always enough water to pump.
STARTING
- Plug in the plug.
- Start the product with the power switch.
- Open the tap on the outlet tube.
