MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE OF SOLDERING TIP

  • Tin the soldering tip after you have finished soldering.
  • Avoid using a high soldering temperature for too long. A high temperature wears out the soldering tip and reduces its life span.
  • Do not rub or knock the soldering tip against anything during the soldering, this reduces its life span.
  • Do not rub the soldering tip against rough surfaces or file it.
  • Clean the tip with fine emery paper and wipe with a solution of benzophenone.
  • Tin the soldering tip at 200°C after cleaning to avoid oxidation.
  • Do not use flux that contains acid or chlorine.

IMPORTANT:

  • Clean the soldering tip at regular intervals.

CLEANING

  • Clean the station unit and soldering iron with a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
  • Make sure no liquid gets into the product.
  • Do not use organic solvent.
